We didn’t have reservations this Saturday night, but that worked in our favor. Upon arriving from out of town, we were directed to a local tavern known as Bar Lure while a table was cleared for us at Vault Steak House & Wine Room. The manager gave us drinks on the house while we waited, which was very generous and took us by surprise. When a table became available to us (10 minute wait), we were thrilled. We were sat in a velour, circular table that was enclosed and provided intimacy and privacy at the same time. The walls are covered in portraits of famous figures in finance, including vintage portraits of bank robbers. It was something I have never experienced before. I ordered the Lobster Bisque with creme fraiche, which was prepared before my very eyes. As for my entreé, I ordered the “Crab Crusted Catch* which consisted of; farm raised snapper, creamy crab crust, spicy mayo, & fried spinach. It was fabulous, and filling! Service was also great here, and I felt like they went above and beyond to accommodate to us.
