Me and my family came here to eat today. We had the oxtail platter with mac and cheese, the curry chicken platter and a fish platter. It was an amazing experience, the owner was warm and he put effort and the love of his craft into our food, so much so that we could taste it. We fully enjoyed our delicious meals. We also had 2 sweet teas a half and half and a ginger tea and omg everything was fresh and delicious. We can’t wait to return we really appreciate that there are still places around like this where we can take our kids and enjoy our meals thank you

It’s a hole in the wall, but not the good kind.
There was a TV blasting in the corner of the grody seating area.
The frying oil was really dark and looked like it hadn’t been changed in days. The place was generally lacking cleanliness.
They were out of several menu options. The food was average.
The biggest positive was the price. You can get a meal with 2 sides for less than $15.

This is my second year visiting during CIAA weekend, and this place has officially become a must-stop every time my mom, aunt, cousin, and I come from North Carolina to Baltimore.
The wings are perfectly crisp and seasoned just right— not greasy, just golden and fresh. The fish is always cooked to order and comes out hot, flaky, and full of flavor. And the sides? Absolutely amazing. You can tell they’re made with care and attention to detail.
One of the best parts of the experience is interacting with Mr. Vasachy. He prepares everything to order, and we genuinely enjoy talking with him while he cooks. It makes the experience feel personal and welcoming rather than just another quick stop for food. You can tell he takes pride in what he does.

I had been looking for a great place where I could eat some African cuisine and I was satisfied by the service. The food was bursting with flavor, portions were generous, and the service was warm and attentive. This review is about his pounded yam, okra stew, and jollof rice. My sister recently passed and her favorite food was seafood okra stew. When we decided to do the repass, I wanted people to taste the food my sister loved. I put my trust in Vasachy’s and they delivered. The stew was wonderful with large shrimp and lump crab meat( just the way my sister liked it) paired with the pounded yam it was also hearty and filling. The jollof rice was delicious with a little kick but not too spicy. Service was top notch. If you like African food , this is the place.

The food is amazing! One of my friends brought me here at the end of a day trip for food and now I had to come back for food again because the fried snapper is so good. The sides and African fusion is really good. This is a nice local hole in the wall establishment with really great tasty food!
