Great location. Good quality ingredients, nice presentation but the sweet taste is dominant in all dishes. Noticed a lot of use of sugar all across the plates that we have ordered. The main Gem of the restaurant is the waitress by the name of Evangelina who has left us speechless with her great service, authenticity and beautiful smile.

Varoulko in Piraeus lives up to its legacy and reputation. The dishes and service and location are all superb.
We had lunch at the terrace area of the restaurant, an option that is limited during the colder time of the year.
The added option of having coffee and dessert at the first level balconely area is excellent, as it allows smokers to enjoy post-meal drink while keeping the dining terrace smoke-free despite the open terrace.
Highly recommended destination for top-tier seafood and beautiful views of the Akti Koundourou marina.

A typical appetizer, main course and a bottle of wine is $200 (170+ Euro). Service is responsive and excellent. The food, as a Michelin Star restaurant, is beautifully prepared, visually appealing, and generally good, but not exceptional. The catch of the day grilled fish – a sea bream large enough for four diners – was excellent. My reaction to the two dishes I chose was less favorable. The grilled squid with an avocado and squid ink sauce was overpowered by the sauce. The squid appetizer was perfectly grilled, but the flavor was overpowered by a soup of sauce. The main tagliatelle Cipriani with grouper, cherry tomatoes and minced shrimp was also overpowered by sauce and spices. A lighter touch would have made the dishes perfect. The dessert Bougatsa mousse with sorbet was perfection and visually a work of art.

Bougatsa dessert is a very good choice – is a completely different desert than traditional bougatsa well balanced flavours – a must try. I would suggest the chef to try the “pen” as it tasted a bit stale.

Lucky enough to stumble across this gem for lunch after a sunny walk through Pireaus. Classy place, relaxed atmosphere and the food is just perfect: taste, structure, temperature, presentation… all of it is really well done. Go for it!

Such a stunning view overlooking the harbor. This was the best Greek salad we had of the entire trip. Worth it and could’ve had a second one! The octopus carpaccio and seafood tagliatelle were also highlights for me, though everything was fantastic.

All seafood menu, no meats. The food, service, wine, location and ambiance were all excellent. Knowledgable sommelier and waiter, perfect background music, great view over the harbour. Elevator available. A bit pricey but it’s costly to provide this level of quality and it’s worth every penny. Thanks to all for the experience.
