We sat in the bar area which had a nice rustic ambiance. We received chips and salsa. My husband had the spicy margarita which was the perfect amount of spicy. I ordered the chili relleno with beans and rice. It was a large portion and the chili was in a heavy batter covered in green sauce. Overall our food was very good. Our server struggled a bit with her English but was able to bring us what we asked for and was very attentive.

Not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but for the area we were quite impressed by the queso and carnitas. Our party also really appreciated the variety of vegetarian options – probably the best selection we had during our time in Montana recently.

Wow! What a great spot for Mexican food! We enjoyed our dinner choices and our dessert! The food came out from the kitchen piping hot! The Going to the Sun margarita was phenomenal and enough for two. Our waitress, Rebecca was very kind, had a good disposition, and was very helpful in selections!

The food was okay. The beans were different. We added salt and hot sauce and that made them good.
My fruit margarita was excellent. I would order that again.
The deep fried cheesecake was very good too.
Solid food just needed more salt and spice.
Our waitress got a lot nicer during our meal.

Nice restaurant with quick service. I enjoyed the Pork Flautas in a flour tortilla with rice and beans. The side order of guacamole was huge ! Large dining area and a separate bar area.
Note: when they say the plate is hot they are not kidding.

A yummy little Mexican place in Columbia Falls. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious. There’s a free parking lot outback. It’s not very big but there’s also street parking available. Was a little loud in the restaurant as there were several very large parties.
We enjoyed a chicken quesadilla and the chicken, enchiladas, rice beans, and chips as well!

Here’s the good news first: The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean, and the staff was friendly. On our first visit, we ordered the carne asada, arroz con pollo, street tacos, and a taco combo meal. The carne asada and the taco combo were both flavorful and came with decent sides of beans (refried or black) and rice—we’d definitely recommend those dishes,

In fact, we went back a second time to see if our first impression would pivot. We ordered two carne asadas, another taco combo meal, and added a burrito. Unfortunately, the arroz con pollo, street tacos, and now the burrito were disappointing. They lacked flavor and didn’t live up to the hype.

We gave it two chances because of the great reviews, but overall, it’s hit or miss. If you stick with the carne asada or taco combo meal, you’re in good shape. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant as a whole, but in a pinch, it’s a decent option.

This is the place to be! It was very busy and my husband and I soon found out why. The food was sooo delicious and the service was excellent. We both got Huckleberry lemonades which were yummy, and then my husband got the Vaqueros burrito and I the Pollo Al Chipotle. I grew up in a town with a mexican restaurant that had Pollo Chipotle, but have not found many other places at all that serve that dish. But I was so excited to see they had it here. And it did not disappoint. Our waitress said it is her favorite dish as well. Also, the portions are huge and their salsa is great. And they got the food out to us in under ten minutes, even with how busy it was. Overall such a great spot for dinner!

Located just a 30-minute drive from Glacier National Park, Vaqueros in Columbia Falls is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere. With convenient parking options, including a dedicated lot for guests and street parking when necessary, getting there is hassle-free.

The restaurant boasts an incredible ambiance with a spacious interior, perfect for both large groups and intimate dinners. The inviting and warm atmosphere really enhances the dining experience.

The staff at Vaqueros are extremely friendly and courteous, making sure every guest feels welcome. Their attentive service definitely adds to the charm of this restaurant.

On the drinks side, I sampled the Jalapeños Margarita, Going to the Sun Road Margarita, and the Classic Margarita. Each one was perfectly crafted, with just the right balance of flavors. Definitely a 5/5 for the margaritas.

The food portions are enormous, and every bite is packed with flavor. I ordered the guacamole, veggie quesadilla, and shrimp enchiladas. They were served on large, warm plates accompanied by beans, rice, sour cream, and guacamole. Each dish was a delight, and the portion sizes were more than generous. Another solid 5/5 for the food.

Overall, Vaqueros stands out as the best Mexican restaurant in Columbia Falls. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Glacier National Park, it’s a must-visit spot for an amazing meal. Highly recommended!

On my third day in Glacier Park, I decided to try Mexican food. I ordered Beef Enchiladas (which I had never heard of before). Taste was ok and I finished it all.
