This place is great. They’re probably the most consistent with these type of dishes/protein dishes that they offer. I make an hour drive just to come here about 1x a month. I haven’t anything from here that wasn’t fresh and flavorful.
There’s probably only a couple of places in Charlotte that sells this type of food such as roast pork, steamed chicken, roast duck, and etc. People can complain and etc, but there’s just not many options especially when it comes to trying to find steamed chicken.
The service here is great though. And the people here are very nice.
The only downsides to this place are the prices. I understand that everything has gone up due to inflation but the prices are pretty high, so expect to pay a pretty penny.

Roast pork was dry. Pork skin was not quite crispy and didnt taste fresh. Char Sui Pork was as expected. Not delicious but not bad. Just average. Will not be back. Nothing special. We went around 1245pm in afternoon.
CON: I agree with another reviewer where they were overcharged for their food. I too was over charged. It is the principal of being honest in business especially when it comes to weight of food. Its sad these men are willing to cheat you several dollars over. It makes me sick to my stomach when you trust people and they take advantage of it. Will not be back,

The cuts they use for bbq pork and roast pork leaves much to be desired.
The roast pork with crispy skin is not pork belly. So the meat is dry and tougher.
The bbq pork does seems to be correct (fatty pork shoulder), but not enough char and ample amounts of red food coloring.

Update : Do not bother with this place. We called and reserved a duck and drove 45 minutes to pick it up. When we arrived, the guy said sorry we just sold the last one. Will not be coming back. FYI – if you order the duck chopped, they don’t give you the entire thing. Make sure to order not chopped if you go here. Go to Baoding for duck, and don’t waste your time at this place
If you want authentic Chinese style duck, this is the place. There were some flies around the food sitting out, reason for the 4 stars

Sadly, they no longer have banh mi which is why I stopped. Did get some good roasted pork. Place was very clean and the guy working was very helpful.

Great place. Love how they chop up whole roast pigs. Delicious. They gave me the wrong size pig. I ordered 25lb and got a 50lb pig. Even though I told them I didn’t think it was mine, they sent me off with it. They called later and asked me to pay for the 50lb, but when I said that’s not right, the owner did not hesitate to agree and honored the original price. We felt bad but the owner definitely did not try to harass us. We are returning customers and consistently recommend to everyone, so they didn’t lose much in this case.

*Buyer Beware*
They intentionally cheat you on the portion size. I bought the “whole” duck chopped and when we came home and opened the box, it was majority skin and bones and the best meaty parts were entirely missing from the box. We called back to ask if they forgot a portion of our order at the store but they insisted it was a “small duck”.
From the pieces and scraps they gave us you couldn’t even sew back a whole duck together, it’s missing crucial pieces.
From all the places in Charlotte I’ve been to buy whole roast duck, I’ve never had any stores try to blatantly cheat me and then lie to me about it. It’s a shame that the flavoring is good but it’s not worth being cheated.
Never going back again.

Beware. They over charge without showing why. No transparency at all. Was charged the price of a full lbs eventhough ordered 0.5 lbs for both types of pork. Not very honest and the duck was disappointing. Getting home to only having all skin and bones.. No meat part whatsoever included. Drove for 40 minutes just to get overcharged and not getting a proper duck. Will never come back.

Man it’s in Central Ave, but the best food be in the HOOD you feel me. The duck i got from here was amazing. My mom and gf wanted the vit quay so i went and got it for them. The price is high, but it’s worth it. Took it home, and tell me why I had like 2 pieces and my mom and gf killed the whole thing. Mind you my girl don’t eat as much, but she ate it up that day. Yes, it’s pricey but the duck was SOOOO flavorful. Great investment. I would’ve gotten a photo, but didn’t get the chance to because it was gone before I could.
