Pretty decent food, especially given that it’s in the airport. The food is quite overpriced. However, the food off of the kids menu is much cheaper and still gives plentiful portions. I would recommend the Mushroom Pizza or the French Fries. Service is timely as well.

Surprisingly Very good food for a New York airport restaurant. I had Scottish salmon and it was very tasty. It didn’t have the 5-star touch – but this is an airport and it got my solid 4 stars well deserved. I throughly enjoyed the food. The service was very fast too. I recommend this restaurant.

Would have been nice to have my main served with the rest of my family… I asked if this was unreasonable after they had their food pretty much eaten. Abrupt response offered and food came eventually but seriously, my wifes apple pie frozen in the middle and her Mac Cheeses was dry. USA 10 years since I last came here. You have gone to the dogs zero hospitality zero authentic politeness and will not be returning here again and will ensure all future airline stops are not in the US for the safety of my own mental health. Worst customer service I have ever seen. They make you prepay with tip and then don’t provide any service. The waitstaff ignored twice our request for Water…thats right water. It took forever to bring out two salads. They kept talking with each other and wouldn’t grab our food from the counter. Food wasn’t the best either. Go someplace else. Wish I could take back the tip we provided.

So we missed out plane by one minute and the next one wasn’t available for 5 hrs. We decided to make the best of it and have a meal and some cocktails. Vanguard advertised organic and farm raised so we decided to give it a try. As you can see by the pictures of the menu they are pricey (-) but we expected that being we are in Newark airport. You use an iPad to order which is placed next to charging ports for your phone (+). Prices do include gratuity which you can change percentage. The least being 16%. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria which cost $60. We love sangria, but it worked out better price wise because each drink averaged $19.95. The pitcher was huge so there was no way to finish with 3 people and be allowed on a plane . We each ordered the grilled chicken which my sister liked. I liked it but found it bland as it was advertised to have spicy Mayo (-). We also ordered Brussels sprouts which still haven’t shown up and we’ve been don’t eating for 20 minutes. The fries were very tasty. The staff is friendly which helps make the experience a good one. I recommend the place if you have time to kill and want a healthier option to eat and do not mind paying for it.
