Looking for great tasting Thai food at great prices? Check out Vanda Thai. Don’t let the modest appearance fool you. Vanda Thai is particularly popular for take out, but there are also a few tables available to eat on site. Good portion sizes and delicious, freshly cooked dishes. Friendly and fast service.

The restaurant is small and has a very limited seating. The interior is lacking any of the design touch. Does require some major upgrades. Really appreciate some authentic wall art pictures and canvases of Phuket.
There’s only one person taking orders and running the entire place. Sometimes when the phone rings, customer may get unnoticed. Overall service is relatively good, once you get an attention.
Food served timely, however, the quality might use some improvements. Tom Kha was a bit over-salted and came on the lower bottom of a bowl. Fresh roll is all unevenly cut and came in different sizes. Kia noodles were very tasty. Nice, plain, white dishes the food is served on.
Overall a place to try and add to your list.

Fast and friendly service both for dine in and take out. The food is always freshly prepard and exceptionally quickly delivered to the table. Thai iced coffee is always a must here. And the ginger rice is a nice option for going along with many of their main dishes.

Most outstanding Thai food we’ve ever had. Authentic, nicely presented, delicious, and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is small & not too great in terms of ambience – seats near the back kitchen & bathroom are noisy – but it’s worth it for the food! Many regulars frequent this gem of a place!

First time I ordered. The cucumber tastes.. like a chemical was on it. Thought it was a one off so its fine. I ordered again today and there is egg shells in my Lucas Fried Rice. I didn’t even order egg. I have a picture of the second shell I found. I do not recommend.

We were at a friend’s house and they ordered takeout from Vanda Thai. The food was great! So we ordered the same exact dishes tonight and unfortunately did not have the same experience. The rice was dry and unappealing. The Drunken noodles and Pad Thai were both good but the Red and Yellow curries were so-so. We’ll give Vanda Thai another try eventually.

Delicious, truly spicy, low price and stock service. Would come back again. Chicken skewers were a highlight, with juicy meat, broiled outside, and well marinated flavor that goes all the way in.

The best homecooked and most moderately priced Thai food in Walnut Creek. We had the chicken larb and Roti and curry appetizer. Freshly made and oh so tasty!…Free parking too. Not many places in Walnut Creek can say that!

I went here with a friend on a Tuesday night, we were trying to avoid a busy night and we arrived on the early side. I read the great reviews on the food and service and was not disappointed. We ordered the red curry which was the perfect amount of spice and a Pad Thai with crab, both were excellent and very large portions. The prices were so so so reasonable which is unusual for the area. The service was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to go back!
