A True Neighborhood Tavern With its homelike atmosphere, the Valley Lodge is one of the iconic and go-to restaurants on the North Shore. Founded in 1969 by brothers Peter and Taki Adamis, the Glenview location quickly became THE popular dining destination. In 1997, new owners Bill and George Stavrou carried forward the tradition in Glenview, and later in 2014 when they opened its Wilmette location. Our philosophy has always been and is to create a true neighborhood tavern. One where our guests can be comfortable, relax, and take the whole family, friends, business associates, or even the whole team where they can enjoy quality service and exceptional food at a great value.

The chopped salad was excellent. Full order is plenty for a hungry eater. Chicken skewers are very good. Chris the owner is a super nice guy and knows how to treat his guests! Outside dining is so nice. Best of all they make a killer Beefeater Gin Martini! 2 Blue cheese olives done right. Try the greek donuts for dessert. Delish

Great family-friendly restaurant in the heart of Downtown Wilmette. We had the bbq pork sliders and the beef tenderloin sliders this time. Both were really good. They also have great sweet potato fries. I love their outdoor seating – perfect for people watching on a warm spring night. Service was great, and I love that I can pay the bill from my phone through the toast app.

As much as I wish Wilmette wasn’t turning into a “restaurant destination” town, this great old Glenview family joint is a welcome addition to our downtown. They grabbed the perfect corner property and have done it proud with a terrific service both indoor and outside on their spacious sidewalk sets.

This place is great! Very family friendly and has enough tvs so you can keep up with whatever sports are happening. Our last waitress was just awesome, kept up with us and the kids and was very accommodating.

l was going to the bar recently. l loved the food the waiters and the atmospher. However, the manager never liked me from the get go. Because l am black. The reason why l was going to the reastaurant was l bought a house in wilmett and wanted to know the neighbourhood very well. unforfunatley, there is a bar manager who hates black people. He told me not to come to the bar anymore. His reason was his clients didn’t like me. Anyways l am not an alcoholic. l am just a simple guy who work hard and have good time. l will never go there again. l went to Sofia next door and they were very friendly. The funny thing about the manager at valley lodge tavern wilmett is that he himself is not white. So stupid. l didn’t like his attitude.

Great food, great employees, great place. My family loves this place. The manager Chris is the best. He is down to earth and cares about all his customers. The hostess Lilly is awesome and super friendly. Eating here a few days in a row is not unheard of because all the food is great. We will see you there!
