Relaxed, family-run Mexican eatery serving Sonoran-style dishes, plus beer & cocktails.

Solid Mexican food. Jalapeño cream cheese is a must on everything. Burritos are solid and worthy of 2+ meals. Beer menu is limited. Cocktails are limited also but usually strong. $2 margaritas on Mondays are great for the price but very very very hard to get a seat. Service is pretty average but no bad experiences; slow at times when busy. Have gone a cpuple times when food wasnt as good. Cool atmosphere but wish they had more TVs in main restaurant part. Plenty of TVs in bar and some outside. Outside seating by lake is nice when not too hot; have misters outside. Pretty cheap overall and good quality for price.

8/9/25: It wasn’t bad; pretty large place, with a lot of bright colors throughout — and some pretty funny signage. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what we ordered, but we both enjoyed the food.
The only negative I can remember is that our server sometimes seemed more interested in the two gals at another table. Not sure if he was trying to hit on them, or they were hitting on him. Ha! Regardless, the service was decent and he was very friendly, talkative.
I can’t say there was anything fantastic about our experience that would make us drive from Laveen to Chandler just to eat there again, but maybe if we catch ourselves in the area again, we would give it another go.

Being a big time Valle Luna fan I can now say that the Chandler location absolutely fits and lives up to the Valle Luna brand.
As always, I leave one of their locations beyond happy and impressed. The location, the food, the team….. perfection.
Shout out to Destiny and Marcie for going above and beyond and showing a patron why Valle Luna is the legend it is here in the Valley.
Can’t wait to come back and visit again.
Oh, and yes, all the cheese. 🙂

Food and staff was excellent! Had the enchiladas and tostada with beans and rice. The view at the window was also an amazing view! The $1.99 daily special margaritas was a great addition too!

What a fun place to have dinner! We chose a table in the patio on the restaurant side. The view was just as good as the food. My steak chimichanga was more than I could eat. Huge! Everyone in my party enjoyed their dish. We will be back for more.

We come here for the atmosphere! Growing up in North Phoenix we always went to the one up there, but this one has much better views! Lol They have a kids menu and it is definitely fun for kids with the lake and the ducks and we even saw a turtle! My sister loves the food here, I like other places for a bit more spicy and authentic Mexican food, however, no complaints out of me as the food is always fresh and good. It is a classic Cantina feel and the servers and bartenders are always very nice as well. My clients just relocated here from out of state and I helped them purchase a home a few streets away and they love living in this area of Chandler. After I raved about the area, they come to valle Luna often and enjoy margaritas on the patio. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurant and shopping corners in Chandler. Overall, this Valle Luna in Chandler is definitely worth a visit. If you’re in the area I would recommend! Parking can be a bit tough during busy times though, just keep that in mind.

This place was pretty good. I got the chicken fajitas. They were really good. They didn’t bring much peppers. It was mostly onions. But from what our waitress Maria said, that was not normal. The tortillas were smaller than I would like. They turned into more of small tacos. But regardless they were good.
My brother had nachos. They were huge. It came out on a 14” pizza pan. And it was really full. It’s enough for 2 people. Even possibly 3 people.
The 2nd time I went I got the enchiladas. Really good as well. Jonathan is a good server as well.
The atmosphere is nice. There is a nice patio with misters. That helps with the heat. The patio sits on a nice pond. And adds nicely to the ambience.
I definitely recommend this place.

Had to find another Mexican restaurant since Garcias and Macayos fell off. This is the best place. Their food is so good.
Update 3rd visit 2026- order shredded beef chimichanga had fat, hard overcooked meat and I found a hair in my food. The food is going downhill, This is the last time I’m eating here.

The history of this restaurant, combined with delicious Sonoran style food make this an enjoyable dining out experience. The chips are plentiful and delicious, the salsa is good also. I prefer the salsa picante (you have to ask for it) which is quite flavorful! The margaritas…delicious! And the food is tasty, it does not disappoint in any way. Then there’s the atmosphere. I find the decor fun to look at, and the patio overlooking the lake is delightful…sitting outside in late February without it being cold nor hot is perfect with such good food to accompany the backdrop! Heat lamps of course are available, and the lighting is quite conducive to a relaxing meal. When they are really busy on Friday nights, you will wait for your order, it is just that busy, so enjoy the view, atmosphere and some chips & salsa. Reservations for parties of 10+, open seating in the Cantina. When you add drinks/beverages, it’s $20-30/adult and the serving sizes are generous.

We stopped by Valle Luna in Chandler on Margarita Monday with friends and enjoyed their $1.99 margaritas, tasty chips and salsa, and a delicious tamale dinner. The bar was busy but we still got a table, and the food was good. The only downside was the plastic cups for the margaritas since the salt doesn’t stick well, but overall we had a great time and will definitely be back.
