Horrible experience! Three of us eating, took a very long time to order, then after waiting over 30 minutes to get our food, the server only brought 2 entres and said oh yeah, we’re actually out of empanadas. They should have told us that before having us wait over 30 minutes. There was no silverware and we asked for queso with the chips that never came and guacamole was supposed to come with one of the entrees which never came and then they over charged us for an entree we never even ordered!

Great relaxing vibes, very welcoming, and very family friendly. A cozy atmosphere with a great team. Our server Ashley was great and very easy going. For our meal we ate Birria soup, Enchiladas Rancheras, chicken, cheese and rice and Our child had Mac n cheese with fries….
We highly recommend the Birria soup. It’s such a savory and quality meal on its own. Adding a little lime expands the rich flavor tremendously, me and my wife won’t stop thinking about it. For the Enchiladas Rancheras I got chicken and steak to come with. The meat had been cooked to a nice tender state. Not too chewy but not so tender that anything falls apart. As far as ordering chicken cheese and rice there’s no going wrong there. I usually never leave replies but this one deserves a 10/10 from me! Will be back!

My sister and I went for dinner. We had a lovely server. He was very attentive and kept our glasses full. The food was hot and fresh. There was too much food, so we had to get to-go boxes. Everything was delicious!

Their food is beyond great. The people were so friendly we went to celebrate my late grandmothers birthday/margarita day like we did when she was alive. The brought us an extra margarita for free to remember her by like she was with us….I can not recommend this place enough

I rarely give all 5 stars….. Rarely. This place achieved this through their quality, timeliness, and attitude of the staff, but more specifically…… How AUTHENTIC their food is! Never had a bad meal, never left without leftovers! Quality, Quality, and accuracy all in the same place without compromise. You have to try it if you are in Cape Girardeau. If you happen to be a wood worker, check out the solid live edge tables! Wow!

I have gone to El Torero since its opening , intermittently through out the years when I would visit. Yesterday the Man that waited on us , was rude, placing plates harshly on table & not waiting to place a shared Nachos dish in center of table, walking away w out a word.
If they were extremely busy I could excuse the behavior , but 3-6 ppl the whole time we were there.
Although the food was tastey it definitely didn’t par up to shredded chicken Nachos…
