I like all their food the waitress are very nice. They have a buffet on Sundays if I want a burger I recommend the sour dough cheese burger. Best place to go for Mexican veggie soup with cup of rice and very warm tortillas.

Eat dinner here and ordered enchiladas steak and cheese sticks. Cheese stick were out of a box. The steak was ok and the enchiladas were only fair. This place looks well kept up but the food is only ok. Best part of the meal was the free chips and salsa.

Disgusted by this place for their service and their food. I went thru the drive thru around 8 p.m. and ordered 26$ worth of desserts, 2 of them were slices of cheesecake, so I get home and as I’m getting them out to give to my children, I see that there’s mold, green and gray mold on the cheesecake, it was so disgusting . I drove back to the restaurant. When I told the girl what happened, she took the bag back and left me waiting for over 5 minutes, she comes back and hands me 26$ in cash and closes the window, I called her back and asked if the manager was even going to come and say anything, at which point she calls out to Jose, which I assume is the manager’s name, the guy looks over at her and decides to pretend he didn’t hear her and walks away. I was so disappointed by their treatment of customers.

I typically do not write negative reviews. I just stop going to businesses that don’t provide quality. If I do feel the need, I will call and talk to a manager and see if things improve. Well, in this case, I asked twice for a manager to call me back. It has been two days and still no return call. Hence this review.
The last three times we have picked up food from Vallarta we have had problems.
On one visit, the carne guisada was overcooked and dry. Additionally, the choco flan was simply inedible.
On the next visit, the only thing we could taste in the carne guisada was chili powder. Overwhelmingly so. As in I think they dropped the bottle of chili powder seasoning in the pot or something. The meal was inedible.
At that point we decided to give them one last try.
This last time we had two orders of carne guisada. One had so little carne guisada in the box that it did not even make one taco. They even had large chunks of tomatoes that had been placed in the carne guisada (rather than in the salad) to make it look like there was more meat than there actually was. The other box had enough carne guisada for one small taco with about two pieces of meat left over. Unacceptably small portions.
We had also asked for one order to have pinto beans instead of refried beans. When the order was handed to us, there was a cup on top that held the pinto beans. Except when we got home, it was not pinto beans. They had just dropped a couple of spoons of refried beans into the cup. To top it off, the refried beans were old, crusty, and should have been thrown out rather than served to a customer.
Finally, we had asked for unsweet tea. We were given two sweet teas instead.
At this point we decided to discuss this with their manager. We had liked their food in the past, but this had become unsatisfactory. We called a little after 5:00 pm and were told the manager would not be on until 6:30 pm. We did not receive a return call. We called again the next day, and were again told the manager would call us back as soon as they came in. Again, no return call.
I seriously doubt we will be going back to Vallarta. There are plenty of other options in town. I would advise going anywhere else.
Hope this review helps someone.
Best of luck.

When we first got there, the place was pretty empty. Then, as we were trying to find a seat, we looked at four different tables before we found one that looked like it had actually been wiped off after the previous customers had left. So from the beginning we weren’t very impressed. However, we were still hungry. So we stayed. When the waitress brought us our menus, we were surprised at how large of a selection they have. It’s a very good selection, I might say. When they brought us our plate, we were a little more impressed than we had been. The food was delicious. They really do have good food. And we ordered everything from Tex Mex to Surf and Turf and just regular Mexican food entrees. However, I will probably not go back because of the cleanliness factor that was presented when we first got there.

The establishment was impeccable. The decor was as if you stepped back into time into old Mexico. The lighting was great, the televisions were strategically placed where you could view them from different places in the restaurant, and it is a very spacious restaurant. The staff was very pleasant and professional. There is take out and I think a drive up window for those who are in a rush or taking COVID-19 precautions. Now for the main course, pardon the pun. The food was delicious, plentiful, the tortillas are homemade, and the coffee was great. The prices were very affordable. This was my first time eating there and if I’m ever in the area again, this will be my first stop.
