This place was an unexpected gem. We came for sandwiches and left with full hearts—and a rainbow crumble dessert, gifted by the lovely staff. The Slim Bob was the sandwich of our dreams: fresh, flavorful, and totally hit the spot. But the real cherry on top? How incredibly dog-friendly they are. We brought our puppy hoping to sit outside, and instead found ourselves welcomed like locals. Everyone was kind, the vibe was warm, and it’s clear Valerie’s is built on care—for food, for people, and for pups. If you’re ever in Saginaw, do yourself a favor and stop in. It’s fuzzzy-duck approved.

Overwhelmed with the vibe and decor as soon as we pulled up curbside! I’ve heard so many good things about Valerie’s, and she did not disappoint! The dog’s name is Cado, like Avocado!
We had the chicken soup for an appetizer, and it’s amazing! Way different profile than I’m used to, slightly acidic in a good way! Adding the crackers really set it off.
Thank you for your amazing spirit, Valerie and fam!

I am a war veteran, and I came into this restaurant, not knowing what I would come into. But it turned into a warm welcoming environment, where it felt more like home than a restaurant. It felt like truly you were cared for the food was amazing Juliana and her crew Made sure our food was amazing. They went above and beyond for being as a veteran, and they became very bonded with Juliana and I look forward to many other visits. I will definitely spread the word to come to this beautiful restaurant . In here, the beautiful story about this beautiful restaurant.

Amazing little place!! Randomly found it within walking distance of the hospital. Cute vibe and absolutely stellar service. Food was incredible! Had Valerie’s Own sandwich and it was super good! Fries delicious. Even the side salad was special with some added peppers! 10/10 made my day.

I always seen this restaurant but never stopped until I had to go to Erica flowers and needed change to purchase the flowers for my aunt funeral. To my surprise I ordered the taco salad it b was just the way I like it in a shell bowl, nice and crispy and also got the soft tacos for my husband which he loved as well. We will be returning my husband and I for a play date and I told my family and friends about Valeries that they really should try to go there. The owner was really nice and friendly.

Just waking in, we noticed bright smiles and a welcoming environment. The waitress and owner were more than accommodating (gluten allergy and more). The dog was the best help, the food was cheap and absolutely AMAZING and we sat outside where the view and breeze was perfect. Thank you for making our experience so special. As a Valerie, it felt appropriate to eat at such an incredible restaurant. I also bought merchandise and got a STEAL. Her merchandise is made with good quality materials and the food and service are worth the drive to MI. We will be back! Thank you

We were looking for a new place to try after enjoy the historical museum and this place showed up. Glad we went! The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Priscilla was our waitress and she was very pleasant! We tried the loaded fries, chicken bacon ranch wrap and half order of BBQ chicken Flatbread. Everything was made very quickly and tasted amazing! I can’t decide if I liked the fries or the wrap more! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back!

While stopping by on our way through town, our whole family had a superb experience at Valerie’s. The atmosphere was cute and welcoming and the staff was kind and attentive. The food was all excellent, highlights including a homemade chicken noodle soup, bloody Mary grilled cheese, the Kenzie Michigan Salad and the chicken Caesar wrap. For dessert we split a strawberry rhubarb cake that was not only adorable, but perfectly moist and sweet. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better lunch!

My coworkers and I went for lunch on our hour break. When we entered, we were seated immediately in a cute courtyard. After receiving our drinks, it took a little longer than normal to place our food orders, and the over-40-minute wait for sandwiches was disappointing, especially when it wasn’t busy. We spent most of our lunch break just waiting for our food, and then had to scarf it down to get back to work in time. Even though the food was tasty, it wasn’t THAT great. The food quantity for the price also wasn’t worth it compared to similar restaurants. One of my coworkers even found a hair in her food, which doesn’t help the experience.
