We first opened our doors in Hamilton’s Westdale area, in 1978 and we have been bringing quality Italian cuisine to the people of Hamilton ever since. We’re proud to have been be the first eatery in the city to offer Panzarottis long ago, and pleased to still be ranked as the best! Valentino’s started as a bakery and take-out eatery and has evolved into now two full service locations offering dine in, bakery, take-out, catering, house-made craft beer and, a wonderful selection of wine. It is a place for families to meet, lovers to share a romantic meal and memories to be made.

Takeout Pizza takes 45 minutes to an hour which is fine. Order an large and a slab pizza for $70, and fine. The slab pizza was perfect except ordering hot peppers is very confusing. The large pizza came back very well-done and I hate well-done. So how much more would it have been baked if I actually asked for well-done? The bottom have the pizza was dark brown. My suggestion is ask for lightly baked and cross your fingers.

I have been going to this location for over 20 years. I still love the panzerotti but tonight is the reason I’m writing a review, especially since I’ve visited the other location on Stoney Creek mountain a few times now and can compare. First, the service at both is similar, but tonight in Westdale, it was quite slow. It took 15 minutes to get some bread after we ordered our meals. Second, we wanted fries as an appetizer-explained that we will all share (3 adults and 2 kids). They brought the most pitiful amount of fries. I asked-is this a half order? Finally the waitress explained it’s a child’s fries. I don’t understand how it could have cost $7 and why she didn’t mention we’d get about 15 fries. I mentioned the other location’s portion size and she said she didn’t care what the other location has, as their menu is different. You’d think a chain of restaurants, sharing a website, would have consistency. Apparently you can’t expect that from the two locations. See the image and you’ll ask yourself the same thing! The location on the mountain charges $4.50 and you get more than double! The prices have continually gotten higher, and I don’t like that the two menus at the locations are different, and this location seems more expensive. My last comment is about the chicken carbonara. They kindly agreed to make a child’s size (half the adult size and for half the adult price), which we appreciated, but it was nothing like the other location, and it was so dry that she didn’t like it at all. She didn’t even eat half, even after adding some parmesan to try to help (see the image) and we got charged $14 for it. Not sure we’ll be back to this location anytime soon.

Found this fantastic Italian spot right in the heart of Hamilton and I’m so glad I did! The food is outstanding and both the pizzas and pastas are clearly made with care. The star of the show has to be the pizza: the base is absolutely perfect, and the homemade sauce is truly amazing. It’s the kind of meal that makes you plan your next trip before you’ve even left.

My friend and I came here to celebrate our birthdays and had a wonderful experience.
Our server, Zack, was very friendly and thoughtful, and he even asked the kitchen to separate veal parmigiana and panzarotti for us, which we appreciated.
The food here is very authentically Italian and brought back memories of my trip to Italy. The birthday treats were a lovely touch.
Highly recommend the panzarotti, spaghetti with pesto, and the cannolis. The tiramisu had a authentic flavour, though it was a bit too sweet for me.
Overall, this is a great spot and I would recommend this restaurant.

From our server to the food, the environment, everything was absolutely phenomenal.
I brought my brother in and his friend for dinner and they loved it!!!
It’s been years since my brother’s been physically in the restaurant due to his abilities, I usually pick up take out for him. However none of us were disappointed, the meals were absolutely phenomenal, plenty of space to maneuver around with his wheelchair and serve him.
From the lasagna, to the Caesar salad, the panzerott to the sausage pepper and Penne and the homemade garlic bread. You won’t be hungry leaving here.

Such a great experience! We had the lasagna and shrimp and scallop pasta. Both were super delicious! You can really taste the attention to detail in the homemade lasagna. The complimentary focaccia was a little dry but had good flavour, and it was free, so who’s complaining! The service was awesome and the restaurant had a nice and clean atmosphere as well. Will definitely be back to try more off the menu!

Service was great. Nice modern restaurant. The food was a little bland. Had the calamari appetizer and seafood pasta. The calamari in both were very bland and over all the food was a little disappointing. We were a walk in and had to sit at the bar due to reservations but the same tables were open from start to finish. Really no reason for us to sit at the bar. We are willing to try again.

I recently visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the food was acceptable overall and the atmosphere was nice, the tiramisu was excessively sweet and caused stomach discomfort for both myself and one of my daughters, while my other daughter didn’t enjoy it at all. Now we didnt clearly mentioned this to the waitress but we did express our disapointment mentioning it was just to sweet and we didnt want to take it home. It was barely touched, but the charge still remained on the bill.
Because of this and the fact that my stomach was not feeling good, we chose not to leave a tip regardless of the service provided. As we were leaving, the waitress followed us outside to question why we didn’t tip and mentioned that she had to cover costs out of her own pocket to pay her staff. (So now I assume she’s the owner?? Even worse) This made the situation extremely uncomfortable and felt unprofessional. She should be ashamed of herself for chasing a customer outside over a tip.
I’d also like to add that customers shouldn’t be confronted or pressured to explain why they didn’t leave a tip. If someone chooses not to tip, there is usually a reason, and chasing them down over it only leaves a worse impression.
The food itself was decent and the atmosphere was pleasant, but the way this was handled overshadowed the entire visit. Being approached outside as if we had done something wrong felt very inappropriate. I’m leaving one star based on that experience alone and hope management takes this feedback seriously. We most definitely will not be back. We eat out often and have never experienced a situation like this. if I could leave a minus 5 stars I truly would all because of her actions. Thats How shocked I was.

Came here with my mom and daughter (8 months old) and had a great evening for dinner. Great service and hospitality from our server Emma and the rest of the staff. Food tasted great – appetizers (Bruschetta & Valentino’s signature salad) and pasta (my mom always gets the fruitti de mare and said it never disappoints plus they let you substitute the sauce and pasta type to pretty much anything ). Not my 1st visit and won’t be my last, delicious!
