That’s a tasty sando! Even the gluten free bread is good/toasted nicely. I got the Albuquerque, which was maybe the best turkey sando I’ve had.
Very busy in there on a Tuesday at 1:15. Pretty loud but good play list in the background.

I wanted pastrami. What I got was a generic deli sub featuring pastrami.
Meat was pale, thin, and floppy. More corned beef vibes than pepper-crusted, barky pastrami. No real spice, no crust, no depth. For $15, the pastrami should be the star, not something you have to dig for.
Way too much shredded lettuce and tomato, which just made everything wet in the wrong way. That combo works for turkey or ham, not pastrami. Bread was decent, but it wasn’t enough to save the ratios.
Not bad food, but disappointing for the price and name. If you’re calling it a pastrami sandwich, commit. This felt safe, generic, and forgettable.
30 minute wait, btw

Best sandwiches in bend. All aspect of the sandwich are on point, the bread, toppings, meat and price. I can never finish a full sized sandwich so I love that I can get a half. Hours are minimal but it’s still worth it to go if you can! My husband is gluten free and says their GF bread is pretty good.

Got there just before the lunch rush. Still had to wait 20 minutes for the sandwich. I took my number and grabbed a coffee on the corner and came back to kill time. No shade at the moment on the patio and it was 92 degrees that day. Sandwich was GREAT. I had the Turkey and Avocado but I would recommend texting or using a buzzer when the food is ready for pick up so you can walk around the box factory.

The sandwiches are great, but for some reason everyone there is pissed off all of the time. I got sass for asking a simple question and sass for just trying to get a sandwich. I’ve seen the staff yell at people for walking in with a dog as they are preparing food with flip flops on. Not the greatest look. Not the best experience. Made me feel like I am a nuance for being there and existing in general. Vibes are not ideal. They definitely could do better.

We picked up our order. My wife was looking for a tuna salad sandwich so we ordered from here. She wasn’t very impressed. The bread was soggy and fell apart so she ate it with a fork. Said it wasn’t anything special. I got a sandwich on a hoagie. The top of the hoagie was so tough I could not bite through it. So I peeled the top part off so I could eat the sandwich, which was great other than the initial bread issue. All in all, the breads on both were the biggest issues.

Good sandwiches of about the right size and daily special soups. The have a few vegetarian options, but the service at the till was a bit rude.

Place rocks! All the ingredients were fresh, not smashed down or soggy like other places. Service was great too with friendly staff! Def going back!

Came here based off a recommendation and couldn’t have been happier with our hot Italian sandwich! The bread which apparently comes from Sparrow is delicious and I appreciate locally sourced bread.
Cookie- excellent texture. Crispy baked edges with a moist and chewy center. Lacking in overall cookie flavor and the chips weren’t great. Wouldn’t have to have again but still good.

Friends, it’s time to go to Valentine’s Deli and just order absolutely anything. My man Greg Two G’s and the VD family make creative and delicious variations on the sandwich as a concept, forcing me out of my Hot Italian comfort zone and into new vistas of hoagie-based artistry.
The crew here are what make the experience worth the sit-down. Warm and easy-going folks who care about what they are doing, are great at what they are doing, and who have cultivated the kind of environment that is perfect for breaking bread with friends. Highly recommended.
