Finally had paella and it was amazing! The flavors were amazing. Everything was so delicious I’m at a loss for words.

Rarely, are we ever, blown away by any restaurant. My wife and I eat out frequently and are a tough sell for a 5 star rating. Valencia…blown away. From Chris our server, to the cocktails, to the ceviche, goat cheese, fababa Sp? (Navy bean soup) to the beef short rib (fork tender with lentils) and burger (more on this later) , we rate Valencia as one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten. Not kidding. I’m officially rating the burger as the best on the Northshore if not the south. Not south La, the ENTIRE South. If you don’t go eat this burger you are simply wasting your time eating one anywhere else. That good. Only suggestion is I would substitute the chunk breakfast style spuds with ther homemade, thin onion rings. The flan…EXPERTLY done. Best I’ve eaten anywhere. So, stop reading this, get in your car and get there. If not, you’ll have to make reservations weeks in advance.

We came yesterday for lunch and everything was so good!! The drinks were fresh & the server (I didn’t catch her name) was super sweet. We started we the potatoes appetizer & it had tons of flavor. The short ribs were tender & delicious, and they now have my FAVORITE bread pudding, & I try it everywhere! The new owners did a great job on this building as well, it’s so cute & clean inside. We will definitely return asap!

On Tuesday evening my family and I had the pleasure to try Valencia Restaurant in Covington and oh my what a treat! I had heard it was owned by the same family who owns Empa Taco which is our favorite spot in Madisonville so I couldn’t wait to celebrate my birthday at Valencia Restaurant.

Beware of the price on the Paella Valencia. In large print, it says $31.00. We just dined there for lunch today and the server told us it was a dish that could only be ordered for 2 or 4 people. So we said that was fine because we both wanted it for lunch. We were going to share it. Not once did the server say that the price of $31 would be DOUBLED for 2 people. We were in shock when the bill showed $62. If you can’t order a single order of paella, then don’t put a single order price on the menu! The prices should show paella for 2…$62 and paella for 4….$124. BE HONEST, FOLKS! Have some integrity. WE GOT DUPED ONCE. We will not eat there again. The manager said “the server tried to explain it to you,” but obviously he dIdn’t. My partner and I have dined in fine dining restaurants all over the world and have never experienced this.

Excellent in every way. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The restaurant has a quiet and charming atmosphere where you can enjoy table talk. In the cooler months the outdoor terrace will be a real attraction. They’re soon expanding their menu selections, but what’s on offer is just great. Competent bartender who enjoys serving specialty drinks. Can’t recommend enough.

Excellent, authentic Spanish cuisine. Most dishes were full of flavor and prepared to perfection. Octopus was a standout dish! Seafood paella was delicious and even better than Costera in Nola.

Because the hostess was kind and the drinks were good, I’m giving two stars. The food was lackluster. Nothing would have been able to cut through my octopus. Perhaps it would have been better suited for shoe soles. When I told the waitress it was too tough to eat, she could have cared less. My husband and I rarely get a date night – it’s a bummer we wasted it here.

Outstanding experience to include high quality food for this Spanish style eatery. While we didn’t sample the Paella offerings, the avocado rolls and couscous salad are next level tastiness. It’s not cheap, mind you, but less painful than paying for an unsatisfactory product. In other words, one doesn’t mind the price so much if the food is next level quality. We hope and trust the consistency remains when we visit next time.

This place is great. We sat outside on a night when the weather was very pleasant. The live music created a wonderful ambience and the relaxed atmosphere was perfect. The food was outstanding. The paella had an awesome socarrat so in addition to great flavor, it had that crunch that is the key to a great paella. Wine choices/prices were great as well. It’s an excellent restaurant for all occasions, but if you are looking for a romantic dinner, it is particularly well-suited. I hope this place can stay in business. Will definitely be back.
