Ate at Valbella for the first time tonight. I can’t imagine I will eat there another time. Very odd dining experience. Took me right back to Italian fine dining in Manhattan in the 1980s…except the food isn’t very good. Very large restaurant, nice enough setting, white tablecloth service and a veritable army of waiters. Just waiters. Only men. The only woman working was, BIZARRELY, the bathroom attendant inside a bathroom that is far too small and not nearly busy enough (AND it’s 2022…???) to require an attendant. Poor woman was locked inside a freezing cold bathroom with no natural light for, presumably, the entire afternoon and evening. TURNING THE SINK ON AND OFF FOR EVERY PERSON WHO USED THE BATHROOM.

I had very high expectations for this restaurant and it did not quite meet my expectations. First off the service was amazing as they were very responsive and knowledgeable. The food was just ok. I had the Branzini which I found dry and not very flavorful. The other person I was with hat the Filet and they did not feel it was a great cut of meat and the mashed potatoes were a bit watery. The lava cake was excellent and highly recommended. Overall amazing service and food that was good but not at what I had expected

The service was spectacular. The filet mignon and lobster tail was life-changing. Everything from the sparkling water to the tiramisu was next level. The cocktails were expertly made and each part of every course was handcrafted to delight!

With everyone being short staffed, you need to lower your expectations for fine dining. That is NOT the case here. The attentiveness of the entire staff was so amazing that we didn’t have to wait for anything. The food was delicious, and the fine dining experience was worth repeating every time you are in the area.

Best restaurant in Greenwich! The absolute best oysters I’ve ever had. Kumamoto oysters are to die for. Their special fish the Chilean sea bass wrapped in potato is always my go to. Wine list is extensive and very well thought out. Nick and Lino are very welcoming and make my experience something to remember every time.
