Ordered takeout – two sets of boneless wings (blackberry habanero and buffalo sesame) and some fried rice. When I got home, I thought there must’ve been a mistake – the wings looked totally unsauced. Upon closer examination, it looked like there was a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of each boneless container, so, summoning all of my Saturday Night might, I vigorously shook it and tried to coat the wings the best I could. This is what they looked like afterwards.

Rice was stale and super chewy, and the chicken tasted like microwaved Tyson – not sure if this was a rough night, but this was an awful dinner and a total blowout of 35 bucks.

I maybe didn’t order right, but I didn’t get what I wanted and got things I don’t like in my noodles. But while I was spitting out the carrots and broccoli looking for my bean sprouts and snow peas, the flavor was so delicious I got almost to the bottom of the container found one snow pea. Also, I thought 3 dumplings I ordered were separate not all in the one container. Packaging was good, staff was excellent, and the inside was bright and clean. Intrigued enough to go back again but leary as I keep getting disappointed in takeout food lately.
Update: they add a veggie blend to all stir-fry, so I need to remove that at order. Still, it doesn’t explain where the veggies I actually ordered weren’t in my meal.

The food was delicious, I ordered the chefs surf and turf and really liked it. Coulda used more surf. Service was friendly and fast. The bathroom was clean and nicely decorated but one of my pet peeves is when there’s no coat rack in the bathroom, it’s Minnesota it’s basically a necessity. Otherwise, I will be back.

The venue is nice. They offer build your own Asian plates and offer a few preconfigured options. We went with the latter tonight as we didn’t want to make a bunch of decisions to create our own (but next time I will put my own meal together). The food is fresh and tastes good. It’s not high end but good for a quick meal out. I had sweet shrimp with noodles and my friend had chicken with brown rice. The shrimp was sweet with no spice. The chicken was fairly spicy with raw slices of jalapeño mixed in. Both were fine, but we agreed that we will build our own next time around. Note that you place your order via touch screen. It was easy to understand. The food came out in takeout boxes even though we ticked the “dine in” option. I don’t think they offer plates. So we sat at a nice table and ate out of the boxes with our plastic forks. It was a cold day today and we were surprised the space wasn’t better heated. It was chilly inside. Parking is free in the lot the Urban Wok is in. If your looking for fast food (Asian fare) it is a good option. No doubt a nice place to meet up with friends.

While the atmosphere was fairly decent, I can’t exactly say the same thing for the food. The item I ordered was overcooked and heavily doused with sauce; it was borderline unpleasant to eat. The flavors were there—but I couldn’t exactly enjoy a meal that could’ve used a bit more attention.

Food was fresh and there were great choices of toppings and combinations. Mine was a bit salty for my taste, but I did get a soy sauce dressing. I ate in, but was still given a takeout style container. I would have preferred a real bowl for an $18 meal.

Grabbed a late lunch and not busy. My order was fresh and hot. Yummy stir fry vegetables served I. A to-go container. However it was so yummy I ate the whole thing. It hit the spot for me. I chose to go with zucchini noodles (zoodles) with shrimp and adding the mango habanero sauce. It was a perfect combo.

I think the best thing about Urban Wok is the communication from the people behind the counter. They’ll always tell you the status of your order and make sure yopu get it as soon as possible without rushing and forgetting items. They double check everything and ensure that you’re getting what you ordered. The staff is always so nice and the food is GREAT

A+ 5/5 for Urban Wok

I was really disappointed today.

The employees were fantastic even when I had to wait a long time due to a MAJOR flaw in their website system that did not clearly mark the location ( obviously not the employees’ fault).

But when I opened my food I was immediately put off by the scent of charcoal/ burnt food. There were flakes of charcoal on the box and mixed in to the sauce and both of my 2 bowls had burnt food inside.

I appreciate the employees might have been trying to rush because I had waited so long. But I’d be happier to wait for better quality food.

Thanks for listening.
