In a world of white tablecloths and subtle snobbery, we’re doing something rare: being real. We’re less steak and more house. Our house – and yours. Urban Farmer was founded on the idea that combining responsibly sourced food, high-quality ingredients and down-to-earth values would create a new kind of steakhouse, where people could create memories and communities could thrive.

Atmosphere:
Urban Farmer is conveniently located inside The Logan Philadelphia, Curio Collection by Hilton, making it an easy and comfortable spot for breakfast if you’re staying at the hotel. The space feels rustic yet warm.

Service:
We arrived right when they opened in the morning, and we got personalized 1:1 service. The staff was welcoming, happy to answer our questions, and offer recommendations.

Food:
Over a few days, I sampled both their sweet and savory options:

1. The strawberry French toast is topped with roasted strawberries, cream cheese icing, and sliced almonds. It was super filling with generous portions and just the right balance of sweetness.

2. The crab omelet with grilled onions, local mushrooms, and béarnaise sauce. A unique combination that oddly worked really well together.

3. The classic two-egg breakfast with crispy potatoes and a biscuit. Simple and a great traditional option.

Overall, Urban Farmer is a great place to grab breakfast in Philly, whether you’re visiting or local.

Top notch all the way. Upscale but not stuffy or pretentious. The decor is like a modern rustic mixed with artsy. The food is outstanding, from the starters to desert. Exec Chef Sonny and his team make everything in house, they butcher their own meats, they even grow their own mushrooms! The steaks are AMAZING. Our waitress was super perky, very sweet and attentive. Great location on the scenic Ben Franklin Parkway. I’d give them 6 stars if I could.

Food was good. Service not so much! Ordered coffee which never came. Server not overly attentive. Had Egg Whites with Chicken Cherry Sausage. Wife had Short Ribs. Both good. Spacious place. Nice atmosphere.

We enjoyed a very nice lunch. The cornbread was a standout — so good that we’re still talking about it. The mushroom dish ended up being our favorite; it was surprisingly delicious, and we really appreciated our server recommending it. The sampler steak was fine, just not as memorable as the other dishes. Overall, a great place for a satisfying meal.

Had a trip into Philadelphia and this place was near the hotel. The staff were terrific! Friendly and funny. They served a vertical pone of cornbread. I guess you can still call it a pone. Just a hint of sweetness, but still moist and cooked to perfection. I got the eight ounce fillet, cooked medium rare, and it was probably the best filet I’ve eaten in years! Every bite was excellent. I got their signature twice baked potatoes which are cooked into a pastry shell. They were good , but didn’t blow me away. However, the roasted asparagus was a 10 out of 10. I usually don’t have much to write home about with regards to asparagus, but this had a topping on it that was crazy good. I somehow didn’t get pictures of anything but the cornbread. I can’t emphasize enough how perfect the filet was. I hope to go there again sometime.

Urban Farmer is a modern upscale steakhouse. It has farm to table choices. There are beers on tap and a nice wine list. Our group had the grass fed ribeye, ARKA Salmon, sea bass and the double cut pork chop. The truffle tater tots were fabulous as was the grilled broccolini. The food was all outstanding. The service was excellent and they split our checks as requested. It was a lovely dinner. The cornbread is excellent.

I’ve eaten at Urban Farmer many times and even brought friends and family along. They haven’t always been consistent with temping proteins, which is why I was so happy my striped bass was cooked to absolute perfection tonight. Everything on the plate was balanced and flavorful, easily the best meal I’ve had here.

The atmosphere and service added to the experience. I did order a whiskey sour with Maker’s Mark that came out to $26 — definitely on the pricey side — but overall the quality of the meal made the visit worth it. Urban Farmer is more hit than miss, and tonight they absolutely nailed it.

I visited Urban Farmer a while ago, and it left me with mixed impressions. It tries to bring a farm-to-table, modern steakhouse vibe. Some parts worked well, but others felt a little less polished.

Food Experience
The food was very good—steaks cooked well, sides flavorful, and everything felt like it was made with care. What I especially appreciated was that it wasn’t just about the main course—coffee, dessert, and drinks were all excellent, which made the meal feel complete.

Drinks & Service
The service stood out—attentive, professional, and friendly without being overbearing. The drinks were also well put together: solid cocktails, good wine options, and nothing felt rushed or sloppy.

Parking & Access
Parking can be tricky. Nearby garages are an option, but planning ahead is wise.

Atmosphere
Here’s where things felt a little off. The space has potential, but the atmosphere was just okay. Seating is a bit close, and while it tries for farmhouse chic, some parts feel slightly dated. It’s not uncomfortable, but compared to the food and service, the setting didn’t quite match up.

✨ Overall Experience
For me, Urban Farmer delivered with good food, great coffee and desserts, and attentive service. The atmosphere was fine but not a standout, and parking could be easier. Still, if you’re looking for a reliable steakhouse in Philadelphia, it’s worth the stop—you just have to go in knowing the strengths are more on the food and service side than the vibe.

Impeccable service, great food and cocktails. This place is large so it feels a bit hotel restaurant-y, but our server was amazing and we really enjoyed the food. We ordered the seafood tower and the tomahawk steak. Everything on the tower was delicious and each item had its own dipping sauce. Loved the steak, it was massive, cooked just right and did my best to eat it all. Order the bread option, it was delicious. And they have a bunch of add ons for the steak also. This place seems good for large groups or just a casual night out.

Highly recommend and I am not quite sure why more have not given this restaurant a 5/5. Food, service and atmosphere were exactly what we expected for the price. The filet and cheese boards were a must paired with Farmer #4 cocktail. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Philly.
