Urban CoalHouse is such an awesome local spot in Hoboken. The service is amazing. The pizza and appetizers are good portions and so so delicious. Ema makes THE BEST espresso martini. You have to try it! (See photo for reference). Would highly recommend this place. Great for folks of all ages and families as well. Plenty of TVs for sports too.

This has become one of my go-to sit down spots in Hoboken for their pizza. It comes out hot and fresh, with high quality ingredients. They also have really good wings, tasty burgers, a large drink menu (definitely get a pitcher of sangria), and some solid starters (we shared the brussel sprouts which were really good). Great atmosphere with plenty of TV’s showing live sports.

Pizza was pretty good. Buffalo chicken specialty pizza was delicious. Sometimes buffalo chicken pizza can be heavy but this was surprisingly light. The crust had a nice crunch too. The regular pizza was good too but I preferred the buffalo one. The balsamic calamari also tasted fresh and it looks like they bread them themselves. The acidity of the vinegar worked with the fried calamari. The meatballs were ok. They didn’t have much structure and crumbled apart when you cut them. They needed more binder to let them stay together. Perfect place for kids too for an early dinner. Plenty of tv’s and space as well. Solid meal!

Ordered delivery. Food came BADLY burnt and soda came flat and nasty. This is unacceptable. Seems like they give zero care for their food quality and the safety of their customers. Wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone. Places like this shouldn’t operate until they have their things in order.

We visited Urban CoalHouse for a late brunch on a recent Saturday. It has a typical sports bar/pub interior and there were college football games and the world cup on the tv screens. We were seated right away.

Popped for a drink and we’re seated at the bar. Decent list of beers on tap and we ended up having the wings for a quick bite – good wings and we ended up ordering a second order to go. The highlight was our bartender – super friendly and attentive.

Truly the best wings I’ve ever tasted! The onions with the coal fired flavor is out of this world. Coupled with a crispy pizza and a great beer, can’t ask for a better meal with a good atmosphere.
