A delightful find for good food and service. We came for dinner and then came back for lunch a few days later. A nice relaxing atmosphere where you can talk normally as it is quiet even though quite busy. Everything we tried was good. Wild Salmon burger, Fish and Chips, Chicken Club Sandwich and Cobb Salad. Our new “go to place”!

We’ve been here twice now, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Both times the food and service were great! The price is very reasonable and the quality of the food is fantastic! This will be our spot to go when we’re just looking for a good meal with no fuss.

I order through a food app from this place and their fish and chips (repeatedly) has been fantastic every time – this time I tried the chicken strips which were huge beyond what I would have expected but they were delicious. Service & atmosphere scores are N/A as I order through a food app. Awesome food and I’m planning to make a trip inside the bistro next. Wish you would have caught my request.

This nondescript restaurant looks like a house but it is a charming and very clean restaurant. It has hoyne beer on tap and is reasonably priced.
My partner and I both had burgers. She, the cheese burger and I the bison burger with yam fries. Both burgers are a couple of the best pub burgers we’ve both had in Victoria. The yam fries were the absolute best.
Apparently the fish and chips are excellent and we will be back to give them a try!

First time going to the Uptown Bistro. Loved it and would return. Ordered their calimari which had a great spice to it (was so good) and no unpleasant fishy taste! Highly recommend you try this. I also got the chicken strips and fries. The strips were good, the fries were great. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Great meal!

This is a great spot for a home cooked meals done right! The food is always hot and there is a great selection of home favourites including shepherds pie, locally sourced hamburgers, beef pot pie with yummy puff pastry and several popular chicken dishes as well.
