We went there after a long hike at Maple Pass and had a fun experience. We had refreshing cocktails, White Peach Sangria and Vodka Raspberry Lemonade. The upriver heat pizza was very good, although could have done with some more seasoning. The chowder and salad were pretty good as well. The tacos that we took for to go were not satisfactory at all sadly. There were some mistakes in the menu like tacos would come with salad but that was not true, the waiter had correct that for us. All in all a good restaurant in a quiet place like Rockport, WA. Just a little disappointed that it was short staffed when we went so it took awhile for the waiter to come get our orders but he was very nice.

Here from Arizona traveling through. Stopped at this super cute restaurant. Came when they were a little busy so had to stand and wait a little bit for a table but that’s understandable when they are busy and short handed. The food was delicious! Compliments to the chef! Great flavor. I would definatly recommend stopping here to eat

Stopped here on our way out of Cascades national park on the way home. Got there right as they opened for lunch or really for us brunch. Our server was great. Very very friendly. Food was on point. Seafood chowder was delicious. Great fries. Love the mural on the wall! And who doesn’t want to dine with Bigfoot?

The food was delicious. The restaurant was very unique with a splash of fun & decorated very well. Outside dining was perfection. The doors were open due to the perfect temp outside. I was so very surprised they didn’t have flies.

Everyone in the family was in the mood for something different and Upriver had something for everyone! Service was great and we sat outside, which was very pretty. The food and service were excellent. Would recommend!

This was a fantastic spot to stop after a long day of hiking in the Cascade Mountains. The place is perfect for winding down and refueling. They serve the most amazing pizza and wings, which completely hit the spot after our hike. To top it off, they have ice-cold draft beer that’s just the thing to wash it all down. We loved it so much that we ended up visiting twice during our trip. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. You won’t be disappointed!

What a super rad spot to find, nestled in the middle of the mountains. Fabulous variety of menu options, including pizzas. Full bar, with such a local essence. Absolutely returning to try more on the menu. Also, the outside dining is killer. In the forest! With a wooden sound stage, and plenty of seating. The back opens up with way more tables than you can see from front of house! Great place as an event venue. Highly recommend. The only drawback was the service. Very nice, friendly people, but way understaffed. We barely saw our server.

A cozy rustic and modern spot. The food is really good and would be perfect for a post hike meal. If I’m passing through Marblemount after a hike, I’m definitely taking my party here.

We stopped at the Up River Grill & Taproom in Marblemount, WA after visiting nearby North Cascades National Park. Before stopping, we had checked out the menu online and had both decided on burgers. This is a very cozy feeling restaurant with a rustic decor that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose indoor having gotten enough fresh air following six hours in the park. For starters, I picked a local beer, Up River Amber Ale from Skookum Brewery, and my wife chose the Chocolate Expresso vodka martini. It was so good, she had two. I was driving so I stuck to one beer.

We both ordered burgers. Mind was the Mushroom Swiss with fries, and she chose the Up River Heat with fries. The burgers were available with gluten free rolls, and my wife said it was the best gluten free roll in a restaurant she had ever eaten. No, we didn’t get the name of the company that made them. Both burgers were absolutely some of the very best burgers we have ever eaten in a restaurant. We finished the meal by sharing a piece of cheesecake drizzled with chocolate. An excellent finish to a tasty meal.

Our server and everyone else we encountered at Up River Grill & Taproom were terrific. We felt that the prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. The bill for two people was $100 with the tip, but the martinis were a substantial portion of the bill!

Up River Grill and Taproom is a seasonal operation, open from May through October. If you want to cool off and enjoy a great meal after visiting North Cascades National Park, by all means give this restaurant a try.

We love this spot! Their tomato soup and grilled cheese (add bacon and tomato) is so delicious! Wings with bbq sauce, crispy but not overcooked and homemade sauce, 10/10! Sit in the back by the pellet stove to stay warm!! And always wonderful customer service!
