I was in Hawaii in march so I was super excited to try some of the foods again! The Kailua pork and macaroni salad are GREAT.

I had called 3 times and been placed on hold. None of those times the phone was actually picked up. One of the times I heard the lady who placed me on hold have a 10 minute conversation. None the less, I decided to go in and there was quite a line and one person on register. When I ordered my food I noticed the person on register was also preparing the food with no gloves or hand washing. Not very sanitary. The food was good. Not remarkable but had flavor, and the menu was what I would have expected!

I want to give 5 Stars but I still can’t get over the Kalua Pig with BBQ Sauce, that definitely threw me for a loop.

Walked in to the restaurant at 2:35pm. Ordered and food was brought out in to go containers as they close at 3pm. The one complaint I would have about this place is that they are only open limited hours, and usually it is on a Friday or Saturday night that I’m craving something from here. The food is excellent, well prepared. The restaurant is clean, the service is excellent. I ordered the Moco Loco, of course, and a Combination Plate. Both were generous portions, and enjoyed on different days for lunch as I live in Los Lunas, but the place has been on my to go to list for some time, and I was not disappointed. I definitely will be back.

I have ordered from them several times, hoping they improve. The food is a hit or miss. Sometimes seasoned well and delish, other times no seasoning and very bland. The Portuguese sausage comes in tiny amounts, while the burger patty is great size. Plenty of rice with the dish. After experiencing spilled gravy, as their containers are not sealed, I requested to have the gravy on the side in a sealed container. I was initially told they do not have containers that seal…It took a few orders before they complied. They are usually out of coffee, so make your own at home with the take out. The spam musubi is good. Avoid the mac salad unless you like it watery, sweet, and tiny carrots chopped in it..They need to be constant with their seasoning, and use better sealed containers for take out. Boring, small portion sausage, and bland for the price tag. Plus never know if the gravy arrives sealed as requested or not, so after trying more than once to see if they improve, won’t return.

The food here is FANTASTIC! The staff is really nice and friendly, as well. Highly recommend the chicken katsu, the kalua pork sandwich, & the loco moco. The spam musubi and macaroni salad are perfect, & the restaurant itself is super cute and comfy. Love this place, will be back again and again!

Yummy Hawaiian food. We tried the Kahlua nachos, Katsu Chicken, Pulled pork plate, and the Pulled pork sandwich. Is it as good as the same food in Hawaii? Nothing is as good as pig dishes in Hawaii, but this is as close as you’ll get in New Mexico! Recommended.
