Very happy we gave them another try – hard to find good food around here. My family has enjoyed many different dishes and their pizza reminds us of NY pizza!

I honestly was shocked when I first tasted my pizza from there it was like someone made a lunchables pizza grow in size. The dough wasnt made properly no sort of crunch at all anywhere on the pizza you need two hands to hold a slice. The sauce tasted like straight tomato paste out of a can quite literally the most bland sauce ive ever tasted in my life. These pizza slices should cost $1-$2 at max with the effort being put into them.

Ive been going here for years. Even worked here at one point. It’s my FAVORITE pizza. Everything is still great under new owners. My only upset is they changed the buffalo pizza. It use to be the only place in jersey they made it with chicken steak not chunks. And they just soak it in buffalo sauce now instead of also using pizza sauce. The last time i got it it wasnt too bad. Just not the same. So ive ordered it a couple times. This time the cheese is in strips. Its not even melted all the way. I wont be ordering this type of pizza again which is upsetting because i use to crave the old style all the time. It also fell apart when i picked it up.

Always great food prepared fresh. Great authentic Italian food at reasonable prices.
Appetizers, soups, salads, main courses, always the best. Friendly wait staff always makes an enjoyable meal.

My son often does takeout here and raves about he food quality and staff friendliness. My wife heard about the live music on this past Saturday evening, from FB so we made a reservation and tried it. Wow ! This was really good. I had the special Chicken San Remo and my wife had eggplant rollatini and my son had the veal saltimbocca. All were freshly prepared with a lot of love. Our server Sophia, the owners daughter, enticed us with the tiramisu, great-grandmas recipe she said, which we shared. This dessert was good enough on its own to make a special trip for and I’m not a big dessert person. I’ll be back, to this family run gem for sure. My son was right.

We have all had Pizza deliveries from various places and occasionally, it will take to long to receive OR not be what you ordered OR not be as hot/warm as it should be. Last night we received a text after ordering from THEIR website that it would take 30-45 minutes. It was delivered in 62 minutes, the wrong topping and cool (probably sat on the front seat with AC blasting on it). When I called and asked to speak to the manager or owner to let them know, it was answered by an individual who REFUSED to pass me to them or identify whether or not he was in charge, then explained all the reasons I was at fault because it’s typically 45-60 minutes (their website & text said 30-45!), the fact that I chose one of two items but I did not specify in comments which I wanted (they have two options and I checked one but got the other!)
And it was the first time in my life I received a COLD pizza. All the while the ignorant employee I spoke to never once apologized or suggested anything but my fault or business as usual. In case ANYONE is wondering if I’m exaggerating, I have the recording of the call. Needless to say, I will make my family, friends, neighbors & co-workers in the area aware of this TERRIBLE customer service!

This review is long overdue from me. Upper crust is an absolute hometown FAVORITE! This restaurant is spectacular, I frequently visit due to it being across the street from where I work & I have never ever been disappointed. The gentleman who owns the business is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Aside from the phenomenal customer atmosphere the food is a straight 10; especially the buffalo chicken pizza. I used to be exclusively a red star fan until I tried Upper Crust. Now I won’t get it anywhere else. This place is a must visit if you’re passing through & if you’re up for it try the buffalo chicken pizza!

I have been getting pizza here for a while and it has never disappoint. But on on 02/22/25 I ordered a pizza and it wasn’t as good as it always have.
Not trying to get anyone me in trouble. Just wanna make sure whoever made it doesn’t ruin the reputation of this place. Perhaps they are new or something.

I used to love their pizza. They have changed the crust type to a thinner one and it’s not a good. They have a good house red sauce and evening we have tried here is good.

My husband and I ate dinner at Upper Crust for dining in. We ordered a cheesesteak and cranberry, chicken, walnut wrap with fries. Both were really good, and portions were large. Our waiter was attentive and nice. We will go back again.
