The atmosphere of the place is so relaxing. Very bright and artistic. Pastries tasted as good as it gets. I looked like a girl in the picture picking which ones to try. If you are looking for a sweet desert with a cup of coffee, this would be the best place in the city.

If you want great pastries and drinks this is a great option. If you want to sit and relax to enjoy these things, this is a bad place. Each time I go there is one staff member that will approach you for some reason, maybe you need siting in the spot for too long the empty room but you need to go for future clients, maybe you are sitting cross legged which isn’t allowed on their chairs, you took a chair from an empty table (which is very frowned upon and will be taken away from you) or just constantly being eyeballed waiting for the staff member to complain to you.

Wow! I ran into this bakery while it was raining and making a quick visit to Montpelier. The moment you walk it feels warm and bright inside the former diner space. The pastry case was amazing with tarts, croissants, financiers. And the coffee was good. Looking forward to visiting this bakery again.

Really excellent pastries. The staff are always friendly, but the owner can be rude if she is working the counter.

This a French style croissant bakery. To say the least it is amazing. Very friendly clean and welcoming. The croissants are so buttery and delicious. There are other items which are equally tastie. If you are in the area you have to stop by. There are places to sit inside and out. So buttery. Note that they close early.

According to Merriam-Webster, the word bohemian, when used as an adjective, literally means “socially unconventional in an artistic way.” I suppose you could use unconventional to describe the status quo for the customer service or lack there of in this particular establishment. Specifically in reference to a single middle aged female employee with dark hair. She felt the need to micromanage the placement of my toddlers glass of water, asking me to move it from one of the numerous empty tables I had placed it on in fear of it being knocked over back to the crowded table full of expensive pastries purchased by my family and friends. Why are you even telling me what to do with my glass of water? Am I not at least a little entitled to some customer service or even respect after spending 40 bucks in here? I have done nothing wrong here except decide to spend my time and money in a sterile environment devoid of common decency or community. If you want to engage in a live action version of the “Soup Nazi” episode of “Seinfeld”, then by all means frequent this pretentious soup kitchen. You won’t be disappointed. In the meantime, I will continue to warn the others.

This is the finest pastry we’ve had in we don’t remember when. This is THE reason to visit Montpelier. The danish and pain au chocolate were the perfect level of crunchy flaky goodness. Amazingly good.

Best coffee in Vermont! Came by while driving back to Montreal and was thoroughly impressed with the pastries (chocolate swirl is delicious), friendly staff, and delicious coffee. Must try when in Montpelier 🙂
