RAVING 5 star review.
This was by far the best place to eat in the area.
$2 coffees, grain bowls with chicken and artichoke, sandwiches with homemade bread, treats, and so much more.
They had beautiful seating inside and outside with a wonderful view of the water.
And the service was fantastic!!! They were so kind to remake the Mediterranean Grain Bowl for me when I saw it had feta and dairy in the dressing after receiving it (it wasn’t on the overhead menu). We had a dairy intolerance and I felt really taken care of.
When we left, we used the restroom (which had a changing table and was very clean) and they had already cleaned up our eating space by the time we got out!
I’ll say there’s something for everyone to eat here and it’s clear they love what they do.

We had a fantastic breakfast experience at this cozy spot! I ordered the Yes Cheese Sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, creamy, and so satisfying. I also tried the creamy potato soup, which came with some of the most flavorful croutons I’ve ever had. My husband really enjoyed his croissant sandwich, and my parents both ordered the hash dishes — they were a hit!
The portions are generous, the staff is warm and attentive, and the ambiance is lovely, with lots of natural light from the open windows and pleasant background music setting the tone. The environment feels relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a laid-back morning meal.
The only small downside was the coffee, which was a bit bland, but honestly, the quality of the food and service more than made up for it.
Would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

My tuna sandwich could have used a little bit more flavor and it was very wet, making the bread soggy. The WI Cheese soup was delicious though! My boyfriend felt like had he ordered a different bread choice the sandwich would have been a little bigger, nonetheless, he said it tasted good.

We stopped for lunch on a Tuesday in August. We had two kids and two adults and everyone enjoyed their food and the atmosphere. The sandwiches came with fresh bread, chips and drinks. After we bought cookies to enjoy later. They were huge! There’s a large dining room and a patio overlooking the water with a pergola cover. During the summer they put houseplants on the patio giving it a tropical feel. Out front there were picnic tables for even more seating. Everyone working at the deli was very nice. We would definitely go back.

We stopped here on our day trip through the UP and was not disappointed! Our lunch was perfect! We got the Chicken Fajita salad and Spicy Pokë bowl with salmon and our dishes were PERFECT! Tried the mandarin cardamom tea and that was also wonderful!
Beautiful building inside and beautiful views!!

Great menu and amazing location overlooking the river. Everything I’ve eaten here has been *delicious*, and my current favorites are the Georgia Reuben and the BLT. The staff here are always warm and friendly. I look forward to eating here every time I’m in the area.

What a lovely spot! Right on the lake, delicious sandwiches with a wide variety of choices. Breakfast offered in the mornings until 11am. A side meeting room would work great for groups or parties. We had the Italian and the Chicken Salad sandwiches! Fresh homemade chips. Be sure to stop in while visiting the Quiet Side of the UP in Manistique MI.

We stopped by this cafe for breakfast, the whole place was very clean and cute. There were lots of breakfast and lunch items to choose from and the prices were reasonable. They got two of our orders wrong, our waitress fixed one but we let the other one go. The French toast was really good but the egg croissant sandwich didn’t have much flavor.
