hello. i’m from the chicago but recently have been staying a few towns away from this area and i have been desperately looking for a good boba milk tea place out here & decided to give this place a try! i ordered online through the direct website- a cup of tomato soup w crackers, a “big cheese” grilled cheese w sea salt chips, a large brown sugar milk black tea with tapioca. (= $24)
unfortunately, although i ordered directly through the online website for pick up: “asap- 10 minutes” my order was never printed and sent to the kitchen, so when i arrived promptly after those 10 minutes, the cashier lady noticed my online order when i was next in line and yelled to the kitchen to see if they got it, he didn’t. i said it was my order and it was okay, then waited another 16-17 minutes for my order to be ready. when my order was ready i was told the tapioca was going to take an additional 20 minutes to be ready so if i wanted to get a different popping boba instead. honestly i would’ve liked to/ should’ve gotten a refund, but i didn’t want to go through the hassle since i was hungry and i paid online. also, the chips i ordered were not available, so i had to try a different kind. they didn’t even put them in my bag or tell me to grab them, so i had to ask if i should just grab them from the rack after i noticed they were missing from my order.
now, as for the food, the tomato soup was surprisingly good! the only thing missing from the soup was the croutons that are supposed to be on top (as seen in the website’s picture and described in the sub heading for the soup).
the grilled cheese was VERY bland and SUPER thin as u can see in the picture i uploaded- it really just looked like a piece of bread and didn’t have any taste/not enough cheese at all, especially for being called “big cheese grilled cheese” lol.
the brown sugar milk tea didn’t taste like brown sugar at all and the blueberry popping boba i had to substitute for didn’t help make the drink any better, i don’t know if it might’ve made it worse actually.
so i might come back for the tomato soup but that’s about it, too many small things that ruined my first experience here sadly.

I personally have never tried anything that I didn’t like! Today I ordered off the Valentine’s drink menu, and oh my. Amazing! I highly recommend to try, Chocolate Strawberry Latte.

My daughter and I have come in here a few times and it has always been a fantastic experience. The Taro bubble tea is to die for, and they are AMAZING with food allergies. As someone with Celiac, it can be hard to find options that are safe – this place is perfect. They have gluten free bread, and chili and ensures there is no cross contamination. When asked about other options they ensured they provided accurate answers. The place itself is adorable and a genuinely incredible atmosphere. New go-to spot for sure!!

One of the best atmospheric effects I’ve seen in a place. They share space with a comic book store and they have board games, pinball and the like. The Bistro is adult themed and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the Chicken Flatbread and a smoothie and both were worth the price and filling! Friendly staff as well.

Came to get a nice lunch with family, ended up being highly disappointed in the service. I ordered the Dubai Flatbread, they gave it to another group. They said they dropped their last piece of flatbread, but only mentioned it when I asked where my food was. Took at least a good 10 minutes for the drinks to come out. I reordered and got a different item, considering they had “dropped” my food. I had ordered the Sweet Vanilla bowl. They gave me a fruit yogurt bowl instead of my Sweet Vanilla. Do not go here.

I came in late about 45 minutes before close. Unfortunately they were out of vegan mac and cheese. Staff was super nice and helped me pick out something I’d like. I was really thinking vegan chicken caesar wrap but I’m really picky about fake meat (got to be crispy, not mushy).
They helped me build my own wrap. Was hesitant on the vegan chicken and switched it to avocado instead. Also had romaine, tomato, onion, corn/bean mix, cherry pepper, with vegan caesar in a tomato basil wrap.
I wasn’t sure it was all going to jive together but I went for it. When they brought it out they said it was loaded with flavor and she was right. It was excellent! Also had some spicy pickle chips with it (never seen those before) and a green tea. I hadn’t eaten all day and the wrap really hit the spot.
We were impressed with Manteno downtown. Lots of cool shops, restaurants, and bars. Nice little town with lots of independent restaurants a few minutes from the interstate.

The food is exceptional. I love their breakfast sandwiches, which, for me, kick the pants off of anything else I’ve had breakfast sandwich-wise for a long time. The food is quality, tastes great, and you actually get a good size sandwich, especially compared to Starbucks or something like that. Their paninis are great too. This has quickly become one of my favorite places in the area, and I’d love to see it succeed.

We usually love Uplift, but I ordered just a regular bagel with regular cream cheese and I could hardly see any cream cheese. Wow, thanks for taking even more of my money. In case you’re wondering why I didn’t take it back, I am recovering from major back surgery.
