I sat at the bar, and was able to catch some of the Olympics which was nice!
There is a good selection of beer, and I ended up picking the champagne velvet, which is a great lite beer and good starter.
For my main course, I went with the tenderloin with everything. I enjoyed the stone ground mustard, and there was an interesting fermented pepper sort of deal on there was well which I wasn’t mad at!
Glad I was able to stop in! Will be back to try some more of their menu!
For appetizers: nachos were great, but if you ordered a simple nacho, it’s meh, we had to add several things and added $$ to make it REAL nachos. The dip for the pork rinds was good. The table ordered truffle fries, they finished it.
It was our first time trying Upland beers. Most of the options are IPA and tart beers. None of which I like. The mixed drinks menu was meh, they offer 2 hard ciders, but one was unavailable. Our server let us try samples and she was very patient.
For main dishes: I ordered a Salmon BLT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I didn’t eat it with the bun, salmons was very thin, 1 piece of bacon, slice of tomato and 1 piece of lettuce. We had mac and cheese, DO NOT ORDER, it was floating in fat and there’s no taste to it. Fish and chips was okay. The pizza was the highlight, it saved the night, I think.
Bathrooms clearly labeled, easily seen, and clean.
For 6 people, 2 of whom did not have alcoholic drinks (just water), our bill with tip was over $350.
I would not come back here again, I had a better time and better food at other breweries.
Stopped by Upland Brewing on 82nd Street and overall had a good experience. If you’re into craft beer—especially IPAs—this place delivers. I’m a big fan of their IPAs, and they didn’t disappoint.
Food Highlights & Lows:
• Wings: A bit too salty and vinegary for my liking, and slightly dry.
• Fries: Solid and enjoyable — crispy and well done.
Best Part: The beer. Great IPA selection and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to hang out and enjoy a pint.
Takeaway: A great place for craft beer, especially IPAs. Food was hit or miss, but I’d definitely come back for the brews.
Highly recommend.
Food comes out quick and never fails to please. The selection of beers on tap is more than well rounded (even for a porter lover like me) a consistently top notch spot for a bite to eat.
My Dad had the smoked pork chop. It was a good size and came with 2 sides. My Dad said it wasn’t as tender as he would of liked. He has some partials in his mouth, so take that info as you may. Overall, he said it was good.
I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. The seasoned fries were delicious. The pulled pork was alright. I felt it could of been seasoned more. I put bbq on it to help it along. Lol Overall it was decent.
I would return to try more menu items.
