Their sourdough bread is flown in from San Francisco. Why does that matter? Sourdough gets it’s flavor from both the yeast and location of where it is baked. This bread is why sourdough is famous. 100% authentic, one bite is all it takes to know the difference.

“Up” is the next part of this fun breakfast place. It is 16 stairs to their front door. So, not the place if you need a walker for mobility.

Inside are tables of various sizes to accommodate your party numbers. Including counter seating to see into the kitchen.

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Be ready for great service in an unrushed atmosphere.

The homemade corn beef hash is a must try. Eggs topped with hollandaise sauce is a welcome option.

Enjoy your experience, you’ll want to come back.

Food Food quality / price (value) rating 10. The atmosphere is casual & laid back. Plan on waiting a little while for a table because this place is very popular with the locals, and attended extensively by visitors to the area. They only serve breakfast and brunch, and have limited hours, so check to he sure they’re open. The owners, Amy and her husband are typically in house, with Amy running the front, and her husband running the kitchen. Amy’s background includes a stint as a “service trainer”, teaching people how to improve customer service, and she obviously lives by that mantra. I had the “Hungry Hiker”, two eggs any style, bakery fresh rye, wheat, or sour-dough toast, two strips of bacon, two sausages, and two pancakes with genuine Vermont pure maple syrup. Everything was high quality, prepared and presented nicely, and very hot. The wife had the “Farmers Omelette”, and it was also excellent. The service was excellent and very timely. They have a typical diner breakfast menu, but with some very, very interesting spins on your standard expectations. (See the “Specials Menu” photo.). The prices were very reasonable, but it is “cash only”. Highly recommended!!!!

It was a bit busy when I went, probably because everyone was out for the fall foliage, but the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I had the steak and eggs, which were flavorful and satisfying. The sourdough toast was a standout, crispy and buttery with great flavor. My friend had the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries and really enjoyed them, though I’m personally not a big fan of buckwheat. Overall, a cozy spot that’s definitely worth a visit for a hearty breakfast!

This place is unbelievable good! Cash only. We went in a Sunday around 9:30 and there was no waiting to seat.

We tried the Bistro and Metropolitan omelettes and they were unique and delicious, big plates! We also tried the muffin toasted with butter and it’s a must!

If you are in Manchester you SHOULD definitely check this place, super cute and famous.

Fantastic little breakfast cafe. The gluten free buckwheat pancakes are amazing! Service was wonderful and friendly! Got there right when they opened in the morning, but I’d imagine it gets really busy and you’re going to have to wait for a table.

We had a delicious breakfast! Cash only so read the signs as you enter. Street parking was easy. We waited about 20 minutes for a table on a Sunday morning. The place is quaint, small and crowded but the food makes it all worth it ! Hands down the best Belgium waffle! Up a steep flight of stairs if you cannot walk up the flight I do not recommend this restaurant.

First time ever to try the fluffiest, softest and rich pancakes with the best maple syrup in town. The venison was quite juicy cooked at the perfect temperature. It took about 15 minutes to be Served with wait was totally worth it. One of the waitresses had the best smile ever, I hope this gets conveyed. However, Place is a bit crowded so keep it in mind if you’re claustrophobic :p

Hands down, this ranks among the top breakfast spots in Vermont. We ventured here based on the glowing reviews, and I’m pleased to say that this place exceeded our high expectations. It’s a charming family-owned establishment with cheerful staffs. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome. They serve excellent coffee, and it’s bottomless!

Now, let’s talk about their blueberry pancakes – they’re an absolute must-try. The fluffy pancakes themselves are a culinary marvel, and the gentle sweetness of the blueberries elevates them to another level. To make matters even better, they’re served with Vermont maple syrup, which takes the taste experience to new heights. As for the scrambled eggs and sausage, they may be simple, but they’re prepared to perfection. The sausage, in particular, possessed a unique Vermont flavor and, most importantly, had that genuine meaty taste that discerning palates can appreciate.

A quick note: this place is cash-only, so be sure to have some cash on hand. It tends to fill up rapidly in the mornings, especially during the ski season. If you’d like to avoid waiting out in the cold, consider arriving early to relish a delightful breakfast without the hassle.

When ordering coffee, don’t forget to say “New England Coffee please”. You’ll never go back to regular coffee after.
