This is one of the best shrimp poboys in the city, and I eat a lot of poboys y’all. Fresh fried shrimp and they got dat Dong Phuong bread. It was so overstuffed I couldn’t even think of staring in on the second half, and I eat a lot. $13 gonna get you right! Good food, good people, and good prices. ✌️

The vibe was so DOPE….we wanted authentic NOLA food, and that is what we recieved. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the shrimp with garlic sauce. He suggested the rice, and gave it to me complimentary. Prices are definitely affordable, with good portions

It’s not the prettiest place in the world. It looks pretty sketchy both inside and out. Bathrooms were the nastiest smelling that I have ever encountered in a restaurant.

Food is legit, though. Po’boy was on point, fries are really good and the chicken tenders are plump, juicy and delicious.

The big to-go gumbo was a delicious bargain at under $10; the ingredients alone would prob be twenty bucks from a grocery store by themselves! If I was lucky enough to live in Bywater I would haunt your doorstep.

HOT DIGGITY DAMN! This place SLAPS! and shhhhh don’t tell anyone I cheated and ate some fish! How could I pass it up in New Orleans!

Shout out to this fine establishment! I am sorry I didn’t catch the wonderful gentlemen that helped us out! I went with the Catfish Po Boy on French Bread! When in NEW ORLEANS BABBBY!

My oh my. WOW was my tastes buds rockin and rollin and begging for more! I dressed it up with the works and had a bit of hot sauce to go with it. Also the portion size was insane!!

If you’re ever in the area, stop in and check it out! They have it all. I hope to stop back in if I am ever back in town! Thank you again!

We were visiting New Orleans and we asked around for a recommendation for a seafood and broil restaurant and this was what we were told to go by the hotel. This restaurant was absolutely horrible!!! The shrimp boil was so bad that the shrimps were so pasty due to being way over boiled and the gumbo didn’t taste good at all. I don’t recommend this place at all and not to mention that it is in a very sketchy area.

Capt. Sal’s Seafood is one of my favorite seafood stores. The boiled Dungeness crabs are not just sitting out. They sort of boil them to order, thus when you get them in the bag, you can see the steam. The red beans and rice are surprisingly excellent! The po’boys are filling on good bread.

The prices here are extremely reasonable and the service is good.

I do recommend Capt. Sal’s and already visit frequently.

If I could give more stars for food, I would. I ate at alot of places around Nola, this place had the best most authentic Creole food I had. First experience eating boiled crawfish, they’re like tiny lobsters and taste as good, way better than shrimp, especially due to that amazing broth they’re boiled in.
