Reviews
The price is reasonable compared to other places as well.
We parked at the premium parking and did our own things while waiting, so the wait didn’t feel too long at all.
Orders are placed through the iPad at the table and the chef personally serves the food to you from the side which is quite a nice touch.
The food was, as usual, good and consistent. Service was great as well even though from the Myanmar staff. Friendly and efficient despite the crowd.
The sushi here is top-notch — fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re into classic sashimi or more creative rolls, there’s something for every palate. I especially loved how the ordering system is done via iPad, making the process smooth and efficient.
Despite the limited seating and occasional wait times, the service is friendly and attentive. It’s clear that the staff take pride in delivering a great experience. If you’re planning to go during peak hours, I’d recommend making a reservation or arriving early.
Overall, Uo Shin is a delightful spot that combines quality Japanese cuisine with a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Old Klang Road area!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Soft shell crab salad portion was big and nice.
Negitoro was not what I expected, didn’t taste like the one I tasted in Japan.
Overall still a good Japanese restaurant.
Staff were friendly and environment was nice and cosy. Really makes the food taste better.
Verdict: Good
We waited about **60 minutes for a table**, and while waiting, the staff asked us to **place our order first**. However, when we were finally seated, our order was **never placed**. We sat there for another **20 minutes**, and although several staff members were standing nearby, **no one came to check on our order**. Only after I asked about our drinks did they realize **nothing had been submitted**.
When the order was finally taken again, there was a **mistake with the tea** – the wrong type of green tea was served, and it came with **only one cup**. We were told that asking for an **extra cup would cost RM2**, which was a bit disappointing.
The **orange juice had too much ice** and was served **without a straw**. The staff mentioned the restaurant **doesn’t provide straws**, which made it quite difficult to drink comfortably.
Overall, the **food was decent**, but the **long waiting time** and **lack of attention from the staff** made the experience less pleasant. Small details like **charging for an empty cup**, **no straws**, and **no complimentary drinking water** could really be improved to make the dining experience better.
Hope the management can look into improving the service and overall customer experience
