Unsui was a great experience, my partner took me to a date there, it was a little slow to get seated but we still got a nice spot. Food was amazing, we really enjoyed the eda mame beans as an appetizer and the spider roll and ton kostu ramen were fantastic. The sesame mochi ball was really nice, not too sweet and was severed nice and hot. I would love to go again for lunch time instead of dinner.

If you are looking for authentic Japanese Cuisine then Unsui is where you will find it! The food is fresh made, it is delicious, and exactly what you would find in Japan. The portions are generous and the staff is very attentive. We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

It is definitely worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had best mixed tempura in town, accompanied with seaweed salad. Shrimp was prepped properly and tender. Vegetables were traditional and included shiso leaves and lotus root, a rare treat. Asked for and got oroshi (grated daikon) in the sauce. Will return.

If you want to try a Japanese savory pancake called “Okonomiyaki” cooked on a Teppanyaki grill, Unsui is the place to be. It’s authentic and delicious! May still be an off the menu item so I’d recommend to call ahead and make a reservation.

I’m awestruck at the incredible freshness and quality of this place. Considering I pass by this restaurant almost daily and never thought to try it…I am realizing how much I’ve missed. Because in my nearly 40 years of living in the Prescott area…this is truly the best restaurant in Prescott and hands down one of the top two authentic Japanese experiences I’ve personally had in all my travels. If you haven’t given this place a shot, I urge you to drop your other plans and head here. You too will realize just how deeply you’ve been missing out.

My friend and I ordered Salmon Skin Rolls, Caterpillar Rolls (eel), and Spider Rolls (crab), and Edamame. All were quite good, and the Caterpillar and Spider Rolls were artistically prepared. Service was prompt and attentive. Location is conveniently near Iron Springs and Gail Gardner. I’ll be going there again.

We traveled from Hawaii to Prescott to drop off our son for college and stumbled upon this place. Had 2 meals (one dinner and 1 lunch) and the food was great. We’ve been to Japan and this is the best Japanese restaurant in the area. Authentic and the host was so friendly.

I love this place so much. From the warm greeting by the owner, to the beautifully prepared sushi, and the delicious entrees that you can’t find anywhere else in the area, this is one of the best restaurants in Prescott. This is the first place I’ve ever tried hamachi and it is so good in a roll on its own or on the Yellow Jalapeno roll. The ramen and Japanese curry are next level. They are packed full of complex flavors. You can tell the care and attention that is paid to every dish. Come here for authentic food, and to sit and take your time to enjoy your meal and the company you’re with. This is the best sushi and Japanese food you will find in Prescott.

We waited in line for roughly 45 minutes while multiple reservation parties were seated ahead of us. During that time we asked five separate times for an estimate and were repeatedly asked whether we had a reservation. Each time we answered no, the conversation effectively ended and we were ignored again instead of given a clear answer.
We ultimately walked out. We had a genuinely terrible experience, and I counted at least 12 guests who eventually left frustrated as well.
The front-of-house operation felt disorganized and poorly managed. Guests were left standing with no communication while staff appeared overwhelmed and unsure how to handle the flow. At one point even a large reservation ended up bussing their own table, which says a lot about how the shift was being run.
This place has potential, but without stronger coordination and oversight the customer experience is going to decline quickly.

I get the same thing practically every time, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s always perfect. The owner Erika is super sweet, and always a ten out of ten with her service. I only ever have an hour for lunch at work, and I always get to enjoy it here when I can. I’m always recommending this place to my friends. I even recommended to complete strangers. 100000/10 my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood!!!
