So happy they’re back open. Restaurant has been renovated and they finally take cards now. They have a new chipotle sauce, I didn’t try it but I heard other patrons like it. Always get the Larry style eggs-you won’t regret it. Service is still on point.

Comfortable location to grab some breakfast. I got the sausage Larry’s eggs and wheat toast breakfast meal, the egg and bacon on a bread loaf breakfast sandwich, the sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel breakfast sandwich, and everything bagel with cream cheese. All came out delicious although the jam they have and cappuccino are a bit sweet.

The food is exceptional the workers are very welcoming it seems like a family atmosphere even though you may not know anyone in there. The only problem we have is delivery they have Grub hub Uber etc.. I rather call in and make my order and get straight delivery from there in store delivery guy it’s faster and the food is always hot and the guy is always pleasant. I personally do not wish to order from those other sites . My sis who lives in New Rochelle truly misses the place she used to get delivery from the sugar bowl back in the days by their driver. She has tried all outlets each time was very unsatisfied. The waiting time is ridiculous. Other than that I would go visit I work in Yonkers we would love to order for lunch here but we refuse to use any of those door dash Uber or and grub hub.

It’s hard to leave such a review for a local business that I would love to see strive. However, the food and service (specifically from the owner) was terrible. The positives: The waitress was very pleasant; she took time to make recommendations and go through the menu. Along with the waitress, the customers clearly make the restaurant an inviting place to be, for what you hope would be a quick, delicious bite to eat in the neighborhood. Now to the negatives: The owner’s attitude is quite off-putting to put it mildly. I’m not of the mindset that the customer is always right, however, as a business owner, you still need to be approachable and respond to your patrons in a reasonable manner! With respect to my order, not only was it incorrect, which I accepted and didn’t bother to send back for correction, the food was quite bland…no favor at all!
It’s important for the community to rally behind local businesses..but this one should have stayed closed if this was the result of the reopening! Do yourself a favor and head over to Columbus Diner or New Rochelle Diner for breakfast!

UPDATE: I need to be able to give more stars. I had one of the top 3 breakfasts of my life today; shout out to those creamy grits and a fresh hot carrot/nut/raisins muffin.
Had a truly excellent meal here recently. Really good breakfast food. It was my first visit and the staff were all very friendly, particularly our server Vanda. I will definitely be back!

The Food, the Service and the Atmosphere is as Good—maybe even Better—than Ever. The Renovation executed without sacrificing the Signature Charm that makes The Sugar Bowl a Favorite among its dedicated patrons. During its long term shuttering, with little or no information about what the future held, some feared we might have lost this cultural and culinary treasure. We’re overjoyed to affirm that “The Bowl” is back! And Sweeter than Ever!
