Just grabbed some amazing takeout from University Gardens in Waterloo and I had to share this one!
✨ The Sweet & Sour Pork had the perfect little crunch with that tangy-sweet flavor that makes you keep going back for more.
The Szechuan Spicy Beef… wow. Just the right amount of heat — bold, flavorful, and absolute fire!
And the Chicken Fried Rice tied it all together — simple, satisfying, and exactly what I needed.
Sometimes it’s the little things, like a good meal, that really brighten up your day. If you haven’t tried University Gardens yet, trust me — you’re missing out.

Took family out for dinner. When we arrived, the lady no smile, looked annoyed and reluctant for us preferring to dine-in instead of take-away, says ‘there will be delay of 15 mins’. Slides plate down the table !!, says ‘make space please’ after sliding 2 large plates on the table. She disappeared after a while and another man at the cash counter seemed pleasant. Food was just fine, nothing close to lip-smacking. Would not go back, they have lost a customer.

I ordered Salt & Pepper Tofu, Chicken Egg Foo Yong, and Flat Rice Noodle With Beef Black Bean Sauce. All the food is good. Except the sauce for egg foo Yong is a little bit too salty.

I ordered Beef Fried Rice, Szechuan Beef Lo Mein, and Salt & Pepper Shrimp. The fried rice tastes from leftovers and is tasteless. It needs more soy sauce when cooking it. It’s the same with the lo Mein. The taste is nothing special. Only the shrimp dish is good.

Reasonable prices, but mediocre food. I got the lemon chicken, which was mostly batter with not much chicken, and the sweet and sour flavour of the lemon sauce was too strong. The fried rice was the opposite, lacking flavour. The spring roll was crunchy and not like the typical spring roll, but tasted ok.

I requested to not have pork in my meal, and I still found pork in my noodles. I don’t eat pork or red meat for health reason. What if another person can’t eat pork because of religion reasons? That would be quite bad.

Hey guys food is amazing one my family favourite Chinese food restaurant. But tonight owner behaviour horrible and I feel so sorry for the delivery guy. Owner tried to tell me I was t charge the 7.00 delivery fee which I believed I was all of this because she didn’t want to give the delivery guy the $10.00 tip. So greedy. She advised that the driver could come back and I could pay the 7.00 or she would bill me double on next order. I told her that due to her behaviour she lost a good customer.

Fast service. We ordered egg rolls, shrimp rolls, crab rangoon and shrimp lo mein.
Crab rangoons were disappointing, chewy and not crispy at all and nothing about crab really, just cream cheese.
Lo mein was pretty good and plenty of food for sure. Shrimp rolls were not impressive and the egg rolls were ok.

Horrible horrible food. I ordered Pad Thai and got these tasteless, flavorless noodles with a couple of vegetables. I couldn’t eat it. I had 2 spring rolls that were soaked in old oil … I didn’t take a photo because I threw them straight in the garbage. Maybe they have other dishes that are decent but don’t order the pad thai!!!

Often get delivery or takeout and it’s always yummy!! I’ve never had a problem with the staff there. Quite the opposite! Would recommend.
