We came here last night to watch the UT/KY game, which started at 7:45. We’d originally planned to go to Roosters down the road, but it was already packed around 6:20, so we decided to give this place a try instead. When we arrived at 6:30, the bar area was nearly empty — just three men in the back and no one else in sight. The bartender was friendly and accommodating at first; when we told her we had a party of ten coming to watch the game, she gladly had a server reserve two tables for us. At that point, we were genuinely impressed and hopeful for a good evening.
Unfortunately, once the rest of our group arrived, everything went sharply downhill. There was only one other party — a group of about ten or eleven men — so it wasn’t as though the staff was overwhelmed. Our server, Sarah, seemed irritated from the moment she greeted us, as though serving us was an inconvenience. She barely interacted with our table, never checked on our food, and made zero effort to ensure anyone was satisfied.
One person’s soup came out cold, and since Sarah disappeared for nearly 15 minutes afterward, there was no chance to send it back. Another ordered bruschetta — the toppings were good, but the bread was so stale and hard it was inedible. When the barely-touched plate was finally cleared, Sarah didn’t even acknowledge it or ask how it was. We had four dirty plates sitting on our table for over an hour before someone in our group finally got up and moved them to another table just to make space.
Throughout the night, it was almost impossible to order additional drinks because Sarah was nowhere to be found. When we went to the bar ourselves, the bartender had to go find her just to get us refills. Several people who went to the restroom saw multiple employees just sitting around in the front room — clearly not busy, just disinterested.
The worst part, though, was how the staff acted once the game started. The restaurant’s own Facebook page had advertised the game and gameday specials, so it was obvious they were encouraging people to come watch. Still, as the game went on, the staff grew visibly annoyed that customers were there. They actually began sweeping under our table while we were still sitting there, and Sarah even started wiping the table down with our drinks still on it. It was unbelievably rude and made everyone uncomfortable.
By the end of the night, every single person in our group commented on how poorly we’d been treated. We couldn’t even ask to speak to a manager because Sarah was so absent the entire evening. The experience left us all shocked — not only by the lack of service, but by the sheer indifference and attitude of the staff.
It’s honestly a shame, because the space itself has potential: a nice bar area, a good layout, and a great patio. But with service this bad and such an unwelcoming attitude, it’s easy to see why the place was empty on a Saturday night. We won’t be returning, and I’d strongly caution anyone else looking for a place to enjoy a game — look elsewhere.
Our server, I believe her name was Brett, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The entire experience was wonderful, and I truly appreciate the exceptional service. Everyone seemed to love the food too. I’ll definitely be back! Thanks for making our night so enjoyable!
Location and atmosphere are fantastic!!! Service is great and the patio is absolutely wonderful. The only thing that holds me back a bit is the pricing seems to be extremely above average for this type of casual restaurant. 2 Bruschetta chicken sandwiches with fries and 2 waters were $34.00 before tax and tip. So that is $37.15 including the sales tax, and when you leave a standard 20% tip the total with just ok service would be $44.58. That just seems to be a little high in my humble opinion for a quick meal for 2 people with just water to drink. I think the best future option for my wife and I will just be the pizza. That would be about $17.00 bucks for a large Cheese pizza before any additional toppings, taxes, and tip!! I recommend the place most definitely, but just my opinion……….
