Stopped in while traveling for work. I am from Michigan and love the Michigan facility. This location was awesome with 3 bars and an amazing outdoor beer garden area. Food and drinks were on point. My bartender James, was friendly and very personable. I would recommend Journeyman to anyone.

We have been to Journeyman’s Three Oaks campus several times and loved it enough to make a trip to the Valparaiso location. It was great. What a beautiful facility and the food was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the service provided by Jackson. He was super attentive and made the best drinks while giving recommendations. 10/10 will go again!

Took the family there yesterday for dinner, to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Made a reservation and got there early. So, we had time to browse around while we waited to be seated. It was interesting to see how the decor was a mixture of new and existing finishes. While the noise level was higher than I personally like, it is what I expected it would be.
The food was very good, we all enjoyed our meals. I highly recommend both the Blackened Salmon, as it was excellent. We split the Brownie dessert, and it was delicious!
We were there at 7:30pm on a Saturday night, so the restaurant was quite busy. While there seemed to be an abundance of staff working, we waited at our table for close to 10 minutes before our server stopped by bring water, take our drink order, etc. He was very apologetic, it made me wonder if they were perhaps short staffed. This was my first time at the restaurant, so I have no idea if this is normal or not. We will go during a “off-peak” time during our next visit.

The Mac and Cheese might be one of the best things ever. The cheese stretch is impressive and the BBQ on top is wonderful. The journeyman burger there is just ok. I would not get it again. The beef patties had no flavor. The Smoked Old Fashioned had no smokey flavor at all, just a bunch of floaties in the drink. I would not get it again either.
Service was a little slow considering it was empty.

Our server Shannon was fabulous! Ordered the French Dip and unfortunately they were out. Chef Roberto personally came out of the kitchen and told my sister and I that he was going to cut a new beef so that we could experience the French Dip! He went above and beyond to accommodate us! Outstanding Service! Great Place!

Jackson was our delightful server at Journeymen bar and suggested I try the fig old fashion fig. He was so excited to share popular drinks as I was very interested in what is ordered by most customers. He was a great conversationalist during the evening after 10 inches of snow in Valparaiso- his service was a 5 star review. Thank you fur a lovely evening Jackson!

I had a fish entre and a couple cocktails, which were delicious. Our server Brian/Bryan was very nice and accommodating. However, as it picked up service slowed down. They forgot our appetizer and one of my cocktails came out in a glass that was hot to the touch. It’s also very busy with activity, parking is limited, and prices are kind of high. If you have patience, this is a good place for you. If not, skip it.

Wife and I have been here four times now, and we have been 100% satisfied every time. Her and her mom this time got the pork chop and meatloaf, respectively, and those two dishes were monsters. The limoncello dessert is absolutely fantastic.

I had such a wonderful experience at Journeyman Distillery in Valparaiso. My girlfriends and I like to get together for food and drinks every few months. Our server Kris was pleasant, helpful, made sure our drinks stayed full, and was very accommodating of some special requests we made. The food was exceptional as always, and the atmosphere was perfect for our get-together. We will definitely include Journeyman in our “girlfriends’ date” restaurant rotation and hope to see Kris again soon!

First time at the Valparaiso location for a date night with my husband and everything from drinks > food > service was 10/10. Potato appetizers was to die for we took a second order home, salmon and journeyman burger was delicious and of course the crafted cocktails we loved. Our bartender james went out his way to teach us about the history of journeyman and made awesome drink suggestions. Can’t wait to come back with our friends in the future.
