Great meal with my wife. She thoroughly enjoyed Her burger, and my strip steak with jalapeno cream paired with roasted brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and crispy onions was outstanding. I had a tasty IPA as well.

We came here for the first time and everything was delicious. We had the Hot Honey and grilled chicken pesto sandwiches.

I’ve been coming here since it first opened and the ‘Underground’ never disappoints. Are you hungry? The food is delicious and with a menu that continues to offer scrumptious weekly specials. Hankering for a cold beer? Many choices on tap and in cans. How about a hot cup o’joe? They brew Doghouse Coffee (roasted in Tarrytown) it and make it every way to Sunday. The vibe is hip and the staff friendly and welcoming. You can dine in or be served al fresco. Good for takeaway too! I’m a local guy and the icing on the cake is that this place has put out once sleepy hamlet of Highland on the map. If you need yet more proof, the business is so well run and with so many happy customers that they’ve opened satellite eateries in New Paltz and Ellenville. And I heard through the grapevine that a fourth location is about to open. Where, you ask? You’ll have to wait to find out. I’m not spilling the coffee beans! Deserves five stars and more.

We came during our day trip from Albany to Hyde Park. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone. We felt welcome with our one year old, there were other families there as well, in additional to young singles and pretty much everyone. I was impressed by the diversity of the crowd. Now, the food did. Not. Miss. I got the hot honey chicken sandwich, husband got a smash burger, in laws got roast beef and a blt. We all loved our meals. If we’re ever back up this way, we will be sure to stop by again.

This was our first time visiting to highland downtown too. We loved the chill vibe of the place. Our server was very sweet.
We ordered the southwest burger with a veggie patty, a Swiss mushroom burger with a veggie patty, and tofu wings with Parmesan & garlic sauce. And we ordered a mocha frappe. It’s really hard to find nice frappes with no ice cream in them and this is just how I love it.
Overall great experience and would love to visit again during summer.

The competent and friendly Staff sometimes have to hustle, hustle, hustle because it can get very busy on occasion and there may be only one or two front end employees on staff trying to manage to serve the whole establishment! They are doing a great job 🙂
The prices are really reasonable and the food & beverage offerings are quite varied, with options for every hungry & thirsty palate. Any of the meals I’ve had here over the years have been very tasty!
They have very good craft beer selections on their rotating taps, and the lattes and similar coffee beverages are made well – very satisfying .
The ONLY thing I am hoping will improve are the bathrooms. They could really use a refreshing overhaul. Fingers crossed 🙂

I’ve been hearing about their burgers for awhile and finally got there today. At first I was tempted to order biscuits and gravy (breakfast is available all day) but decided to get their smash burger with fries. The burger was perfectly cooked with fresh greens, red onion, pickle and American white cheese. It was so juicy that I almost asked for a 2nd napkin. The fries were super crispy, which was a nice change from most fast food fries. The service was attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

This place has the best coffee in highland! You definitely should go out of your way to come here. Pro tip, ask for Cass! She really loves her job and will make you the most fun and amazing coffees and stuff! Their food is great too. I highly recommend their hot honey sandwich.

Accidentally stumbled upon this Cafe in Ellenville today. What a great experience. I had the best cappuccino of my life there today and will be going back ASAP. Also telling friends. The location is prime adjacent to the Shadowland and close to hiking hot spots. Lastly, the food was outstanding.
