Just want to say that it was a wonderful experience at this location. I stopped in today because they were offering two dollars off of their milkshakes because it was national chocolate day. Not only was the milkshake absolutely delicious, the sidewinder fries were to die for, Extremely crispy and soft and hot on the inside. I also happen to get one of the Mexican style hotdog wrapped bacon, and that was probably the best decision I made today. The staff was excellent I think, Irma, and Roni or the two wonderful young ladies there And their service was top-notch. Not only were they managing multiple customers, but they had the entire restaurant laughing, and the whole vibe was delightful. I would definitely recommend and be stopping by again.

The staff was super friendly, very knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions we had with the menu. Unfortunately, both of us felt the $50 for the 2 combo meals was not worth the quality of the wagyu burgers we received. They were very dry and had a funny taste to them. So much so, we could not finish them. The fries and onion rings were good though.

The staff here are so nice. I like the interior. I ordered the wagyu burger, sidewinder fries, and veggie burger. I know the ingredients used to make the burgers are high quality, so I was expecting everything to taste amazing, but I found the burger was too salty and underwhelming. The fries were fresh, had great texture, but the ranch seasoning was a little too salty and left a weird aftertaste. Veggie burger had unique toppings, but the patty was dry. Overall, I might consider trying something else in the future, but I do think there are tastier options out there in Houston with better value.

Tried Underbelly Burger today and it was great. It was a little hard to get to due to the road construction, but definitely worth it. The hamburgers were great and I really liked the house sauce on the burger. We had the onion rings and the fries. The fries were uniquely cut and very tasty. Onion rings were also very good. And the service was great. Very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Overall a great experience and we will be back!

Gross looking burgers with the seeds on top looks like maggets. No flavor and lots of grease. Grease comes out the paper bag making it all wet. Parking is shared with other businesses making it harder to park

Orders online to place my order to go, before I made it home I already finished my cookies & cream milkshakes. So freaking delicious. By the time I made it home my triple patty wagyu burger was still warm I also added onion to it which made it extra delicious. Awesome place with awesome staff

I wanna start off in chronological order so I walked in to a pretty much empty restaurant.11/29/25 5ish pm. It was one man who came in before me two people after me. That’s pretty scarce for a Saturday late evening at a supposedly popular burger joint. I was very skeptical. I let the cashier know that wasn’t a good sign. the cashier was very polite. She had a very huge smile. She was very jovial and upbeat. I did appreciate that she did give her recommendations. It wasn’t anything that I was interested in because I don’t do spicy, I told her that I was a burger connoisseur so I really wanted to experience a great burger and she told me that I would be experiencing a great burger. I opted for the lil Wagyu one patty I added grilled onions and bacon. I would like to say that that was one of the WORST burgers that I’ve ever eaten. I would also like to say that that burger patty is NOT Wagyu. I don’t care what they’re writing on that menu that is not a Japanese Wagyu. That’s not an American Wagyu. The burger didn’t have any GU in it! upon coming to underbelly I passed Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Whataburger I could’ve went to any one of those fast food chains and got a better burger than the burger that I received at underbelly it was worse than mid. I gave two stars because of the fries the sauces that she gave me were good to dip the fries in. The price for that horrible burger and fries was $20 with the add-ons unbelievable, the burger literally had no taste. I would never return. I would never recommend. The fries are good. They taste similar to potato wedges at KFC from back in the day. I don’t know if KFC still sells them. that burger was very underwhelming. I came based on a TikTok review. I would not recommend, I would not return. I should’ve asked for a refund. The restaurant was clean I mean, I guess technically it had to be right. Nobody was in there.

My friend and I tried Underbelly Burger for the first time. What a disappointment.
First the good: Our order taker was friendly, immediately greeted us, and she was helpful with suggestions plus answering questions.
Now for the rest: the place was completely empty. To be fair, it was a cold and rainy day. The inside is very small with limited seating. There is only one booth seating spot to fit 2 people. They have a decent size outdoor patio, but again, the weather was not good to be outside. Our goal was to order a couple items to share so we could both try a couple items. We settled on the Wagyu burger with a side of onion rings and the Chicken Bit Box with fries. When our order was ready, the girl called our names from the counter. First of all, she saw where we were sitting, the place had no one in there except us, so why wouldn’t she bring the food to the table for us? Secondly, we explained we were going to split the meal, and we were ordering to eat at the restaurant. With this information, you would think the order would be placed on a tray. The order was handed to me in a bag with a boat type sleeve of the burger topping on the side. We asked for them on the side, so that was fine, but why no tray to carry all this stuff to the table. Not a huge deal, and we made it work. It’s just strange for her not to have paid attention to those details. She did seem rattled when we placed our order, so maybe she was having an off day. The best thing about the burger was the bun. They use Martin’s Potato Rolls. They are awesome. These are the buns I buy when making burgers at home. They are loaded with sesame seeds, and they are perfectly fluffy. I do not recall them being so much on the small size. The burger looked exceptionally small. The onion rings are thicker than I prefer. They tasted okay. The Chicken Bit Box. BIT is the optimum word and very tiny pieces of chicken that I am not sure should even be called chicken. My friend cut one open and the meat was brown. Definitely not white meat chicken. The fries that come with the bit box are those thick semi curled fries. Some were so thick they didn’t get fried well.
All in all, it was so poor, I would not even consider giving this place another try. That’s one of the reasons I like getting a couple items to split. If one thing is bad, you can give grace, but if everything is bad, that’s a problem. The portions are small, the indoor seating selection is small, the drink selection is small, the customer service is small, but the bill was large. $38.83 and that’s with a 15% tip which really peeves me. I tipped! Smaller than I would for full service, but more than I normally do for counter service. So tired of that at the screen tip shaming situation. What in the heck did the tip go toward because it certainly wasn’t service or quality.
Maybe this place was good at first. Seems to be a trend these days to get it right at the beginning, then sluff off as the time goes on. For those who follow me, as I always say with anything less than 4 stars, it pains me to score a place so low. What a shame!

I’m becoming a regular at Underbelly, each time I get the Angus burger and every time it’s been a HIT. Today my boyfriend and I decided to eat inside. The service is always great, the staff are very nice, the place is small but clean and cozy. The Jalapeño mayo is delicious and is perfect for dipping their delicious sidewinder fries in. Also! They have a discount for first responders and teachers. Definitely a gem!

Veggie burgers available!
Very cute burger place we happened upon while driving around. It’s a small shop and staff is so friendly!

I love that this is a small but energizing place where you can get a no frills straight up burger made fresh. The twisty fries that came out were a delight to see!

Taste wise, I can’t say this is anything special. You order a burger and you get a burger, it’s great if that’s what you want. Even though the burgers are just average good enough burgers, 5 stars because this was a lovely and straightforward experience.
