I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because it is usually noisy in there.
My husband & I shared a plate of Pulled BBQ Pork Tacos with a side of rice & beans. The side of yellow rice & beans was $5 more (which I knew when I ordered it) but I was honestly expecting a bit better quality and not refried beans but actual yellow rice with the beans mixed in… The menu just states “yellow rice with beans” it doesn’t say refried beans. I wish this was clearer when ordering because I wouldn’t have purchased it.
We also got an order of Jameson BBQ boneless wings. They were good, the sauce they used was tasty & the ranch dressing for dipping was yummy!
Next time we plan to try burgers as we’ve heard good things about those. So we do plan to return. I must say that while there I was disappointed with our server. We needed refills twice on drinks and had to ask someone else as she repeatedly walked by us without checking in. The one time she did check in she had to double back as if she forgot about us & while we are still talking to her she began walking away. (This is why I have given service 4/5 stars).
The atmosphere was nice overall. When we got there there was no parking, so we assumed the place would be pretty packed but it didn’t seem to be when we walked in. We sat near the front door and we unfortunately had two women sitting behind us that were chatting on FaceTime with others nonstop. The person sitting directly behind me had their chair pushed so far back that it made for less space for me. Due to her being on the phone and being so loud, it made it very difficult to hear my husband talking even though he was directly across from me. He ended up switching sides with me as he struggles to hear people behind him so sitting there didn’t bother him as much. However I could still hear them over his & I’s conversation just being overly loud/obnoxious. While I understand that this isn’t necessarily on the establishment, I do believe that they should have been asked to take it outside or quiet down to be respectful towards other patrons. I did notice those sitting across from them in the larger booths were constantly looking over at them as they were being overly loud. It just made it so difficult to have a simple conversation. This is why I have atmosphere a 4/5 stars.
We ended up getting burgers and these were some of the tastiest burgers that one could get. The burgers are made with good quality meat and are nice & thick. They came with housemaid chips that were also excellent.
We did not get dessert, but noticed that they had some good looking, tall slices of cake an available.
Our server was friendly and did a great job. She was very personable.
We had a choice between sitting outside under an umbrella or inside, the air-conditioning. We went with the air conditioning. The place had an urban industrial type vibe to it, but it was comfortable and nice.
I noticed there is a huge fireplace outside, which could be nice at certain times of the year and day.
I highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t been yet — you won’t be disappointed!
Also…I would totally recommend getting the fried cinnamon toast ice cream for dessert!
The service definitely could’ve been better. When we were sat our table was dirty so I asked out waitress if she can clean it up. She went to grab a spray & sprayed around our waters on the table, which I thought was gross. And after seeing the services table next to us was getting with a different waitress… I saw the lack in ours. The other waitress explained the menu & was extremely kind. If it wasn’t for the service- I would’ve given 5 stars.
Sat outside- beautiful patio, beautiful flowers. Very relaxing.
