We had Unco Frank’s cater my wife’s birthday party. She grew up on Kauai and this is the best local grindz around! Loved the Kalua Pig, Mochiko Chicken, Mac salad, fried rice – everything 🙂 Frank made everything really easy to work with too – highly recommended!

nestled within the high treason wine bar, unco franks is a great date spot serving delicious hawaiian cuisine.

mochiko chicken: must try! perfectly crispy and the batter is packed with flavor

mac salad: solid side dish, pairs well with the fried chicken

shrimp: a little too salty but well cooked

Loud wine bar but fun atmosphere with a group of friends. Multiple beverage options for everyone including sake and non alcoholic. Food was great and in decent portions. Pupu plater was great for the group. I loved the mochiko chicken and the kalua pork sliders were also a hit. Coconut shrimp also great. The mac salad creaminess and white pepper stood out. The short ribs were cooked well. Could pass on the chicken teriyaki tho the portion size was good.

Very very good food you order from kitchen in the back in a hybrid space — coffee during day & wine at night 🙂

Walk to the back and ring the bell to order directly from kitchen. Enjoyed the mochiko chicken lunch plate and fried rice. The mac salad was deliciously zesty and peppery.

Love that this space is shared with coffee and wine bar.

Restaurant pop-up in the wine bar The Bitter End (a little confusing to figure out what was going on as the service was a bit awkward). Small but varied menu of Hawaiian dishes. We got the PuPu platter with rice and Mac salad to get a taste of everything.

Food was great but very salty. Fries were the highlight with a savory, spicy sauce. Fried chicken was okay. Looked like a lot of food came from the freezer, doesn’t matter much when it’s all fried anyway.

Very nice vibe in the wine bar, sort of a hipster approach with vinyls all over the place.

I couldn’t be happier with the catering service we received for our company picnic. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. The dishes were artfully arranged and tasted incredible, especially the tofu poke. Even the meat eaters were going back for seconds on that one! Delivery was prompt, and I really appreciated how flexible he was in helping us stay within budget. Professional, reliable, and outstanding food—I’d definitely book again!

High Treason is the entrance and Unko Frank’s is Hawaiian food is served. The service is quick everyone is attentive and food has a slight twist on Hawaiian classics and is delicious! Mid- Upper tier wine and sake is offered but where else can you have wine, listen to vinyl and eat Hawaiian? Definitely great for 1st, 2nd or any date night!

Mochiko Chicken – Pretty decent. Lightly fried chunks with a soft crispy batter. Glazed slightly sweet and savory. Different than how typically done in Hawaii. Mac salad was light on mayo and flavor, quite peppery, had carrots. Would’ve preferred soft white rice. The greens were nice.

A magnificent little wine/beer/sake spot that serves some of the best mochiko chicken this side of the gate. Kyle is amazing. Hawaiian food is off the charts. Stop by with a date or by your damn self. It’s worth it.
