WOW!! The absolute most delicious seafood i have tried in town. When they say fresh, they are not joking! Even on a busy Friday evening we only waited 40 minutes for a table. Worth the wait!! Rich was so attentive and the absolute best. Everyone in there is so kind. The ambience was great and as a veteran & PNWestern seafood-lover myself, i found myself at home in this little corner of Raritan.

Awesome seafood spot in Raritan that brings in fresh fish daily. Ownership is present and greeting patrons with a big smile and warm welcome. While the menu can be a little pricey, the food is fantastic and worth every penny. Both the balsamic calamari and tuna steak were incredible!

Such a spectacular place. The drinks are amazing. They only use top shelf alcohol. Great Old Fashioned( muddled recipe for old schoolers), Manhattan, and Negroni. The fish is super fresh, specials are amazing. They also serve traditional Italian dishes. If you are addicted to fish and shellfish, this is a must. The special swordfish is delicious. Best flounder francese I’ve ever head.

A Raritan neighborhood spot, Uncle Vinnie’s is the Italian and seafood place to be. With no reservations, give yourself some grace on a Friday night with a little wait (although you can still get out in an hour). The staff is fast moving and super nice. They make a solid martini and have a full bar to leverage. The blue crab claw appetizer was fantastic – about 20 claws with their honey mustard (weird but really good). For our mains, we got linguine marinara with fried calamari (tons of lightly fried rings) and the penne pasta special which was Italian sausage, shrimp, and tuna with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. More meat than pasta which is a tough feat. Great meal. Excited to come back!

I’ve been here 5 or so times and have always had an excellent experience start to finish. Highly recommend the Ghost IPA for IPA lovers. Fresh oysters are always on point and we tried the lobster bisque which was also delicious. Both pictured entrees were delightful.
They pack a decent amount of seating in despite it being a small restaurant. Just be prepared to wait a little since they don’t take reservations.

Had an early dinner on my own here this past Friday and it was a good experience. It’s a smallish restaurant but was still surprised to find almost every seat occupied at 4 in the afternoon!
Noting the interactions between the host, waitstaff, and amongst patrons, it quickly became clear that it’s a locals’ favorite. First impressions were that of the old school seafood places I’ve visited in Sheepshead Bay & Bayridge Bklyn decades ago. Decór is basic and understated; it’s all about the food and service.
Beer tap list is short but glad they offer some craft beers. Had the blue crab claws cocktail for app with an IPA and had the red snapper w/scallops for main course w/a glass of house Sauvignon Blanc. Both plates were very fresh and delicious. Tasted like I was having dinner at a seaside town enjoying the catch of the day.
Haven’t had a cannoli in years because most tend to taste like overly sugar saturated failed attempts (even from Italian bakeries) but figured I was in the right place to try one… curiosity wasn’t disappointed. The shell and filling struck a nice balance in sweetness and you could actually taste other ingredients; not just pure sugar. It paired nicely with the flavorful cup of strong but not bitter coffee. The prices are on the higher end but the experience nicely reflected that.
While it’s unfortunate that over the years there have been times when foreboding looks and attention have been directed my way while visiting a packed restaurant and being the only non-white person, there was none of that nonsense here. The waiter and host both made me feel very appreciated as a patron and I didn’t take this lightly especially during these tense times. A warm, cozy atmosphere, great seafood and service await anyone visiting this little gem.

Visiting from Dallas and stopped in at Uncle Vinnie’s with a work group. We didn’t have reservations and they did a great job making a table set up for us. The restaurant was full and when you try the food you will know why. Delicious and fresh! All of us loved our meals; if I lived in the area I would be in here once a week. I especially loved that Uncle Vinnie greets you at the front door and personally makes sure you had a great meal on your way out.

Great service, good crowd, small cozy place. We landed here cause my colleagues yelp suggested a good bar joint with good reviews and decently priced. It was fully packed at around 6 pm, and waitress was very friendly and suggested that we pick up the beer/wine from here and instead go to uncle Vinnie’s market ( less than 100 feet from there ) where they serve food/appetizer that we were looking for. I’ll surely go back here for the sea food that it’s famous for with family.

Edit… I moved to Florida and have not been back here in quite some time. Tonight I chose the special of crab cake and scallops with an arugula salad and fresh mozzarella. Unbelievably perfect. Filled with crab and beautiful caramelized scallops!
As always, this place never fails to disappoint! These were by far some of the best scallops I’ve had in my life. Perfectly caramelized, super moist and delicious. Best bartenders and the drinks are nice and strong! Highly recommended and be prepared for a little bit of a wait because it’s that great.
And let’s not forget the wonderful friendly owner!
