Got as take out. Delicious.
Heads up for ordering Momo Mezze. It does NOT come with any bread by default, (pita or what-not). Nor an option, in the ordering for that option.
Not necessarily a huge deal, but something to be aware of.

Lamb kababs. Branzini, lentil soup ….all were just awesome.

My whole family loves Momo’s. The food is absolutely delicious. We’re fans of their hummus, Momo’s salad w/ grilled chicken, steak and fries, pitza’s, spinach pie, chicken shawarma, salmon. We’ve also had great experiences with catering. The restaurant is super cozy and we love the antiques. Our daughters also love visiting bear and watching pita making. The service is wonderful. Highly recommend.

Wonderful casual dinning! Their specialties are authentic and delicious. I especially love their ouzi, the falafel is expertly prepared, and the flatbreads are simplistic and tasty. The eclectic dinning room is super cozy, especially during the holidays – decoration are some of the best in town! Haven’t tried breakfast yet but certainly will. Don’t believe takeout lady who ordered to go and complained about cold food (duh) and lamb pizza guy probably expects american pizza.

Uncle Momo in Montclair used to be one of my favorite spots, but it has sadly gone downhill. I gave it another shot recently and was extremely disappointed. I ordered the lamb pizza, which turned out to be a joke—just a thin slice of pita bread with a dab of sauce and barely any meat. It was bland and lazy. The chicken shawarma, once a highlight, tasted nothing like it used to—dry and flavorless. As for the lentil soup, I’m 100% certain it came from a can. There’s no depth, no freshness—just a salty, generic mess.

It’s clear the quality has taken a backseat, and they’re cutting corners hoping customers won’t notice. Well, I noticed—and I won’t be coming back. What a waste of $70.

Ordered momos pizza. Flavor was good just a tad too much salt. And the chili is meatless I guess? For $19 with tax that is kind of steep. But the people were pleasant and the pizza crust was so good.

Ordered from this restaurant several times. Food is outstanding, holds well even for take out. Flavors are great, and falafel is especially good. Their pizzas are delicious
as well!

Service is fast and friendly. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered the lamb chops and was surprised to see they didn’t come bone-in. The meat and the french fries were both cold when I got them. To make things worse, I found a hair in my salad. That completely turned me off from the meal. I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again.

I found this spot and wanted to try it. I made reservations before I went. When I arrived it just finished raining so they put up the tables. I found parking on the street right in front. One of the workers came out and put the tables out for us. There was not a lot of area to sit in the front but they made it work. This place is BYOB. I ordered with the sever and she was nice. I ordered the moussaka vegie and my friend ordered the moussaka with lamb. The food came out and looked interestingly good. The server also bought out pita freshly baked. When I tried it, it was very good. The pita was very good with the meal as well. I enjoyed my experience.

Hubby and I decided to try something completely different for Christmas Eve dinner and it was delicious!

Rahib (eggplant) – OMG this was delicious! I can eat this all day long!

Foul (fava bean) – hubby loved it. The beans are too hard for me, but the flavor was good

Chicken Tajine – oh so good! The preserved lemon is interesting and gives the chicken some zest

Branzino – they fillet it for hubby and was tender and very well seasoned. The spinach was very well seasoned, usually it’s just bland but this was delicious!

Karcade Hibiscus Flower – lightly sweetened and refreshing

Mint Tea – hubby enjoyed it but it tasted like toothpaste to me 🙁

Service was good, our waitress was attentive and helpful.

The restaurant was small and cute but a bit dark for me. I had to turn on my cellphone light to read the menu.
