Huge menu, lots of tempting flavours — and top tip:
Do not fill up on chips and dips. Rookie error.
We ordered the small guacamole to start — just about right, though the large would’ve been better. I was tempted by the tableside guac… maybe next time.
I went for steak and chicken fajitas, while the lads opted for tacos.
The fajita tortillas were tiny and you only get three — nowhere near enough for the amount of food sizzling away on that hot plate. Still tasty, just messy (though fajitas are chaos by design).
Service was good — attentive, friendly, and the right attitude.
Atmosphere? A bit meh. The acoustics aren’t great and the music felt overly loud, possibly to drown out a big party nearby… which only made everything louder.

This was a pretty good experience for a chain restaurant. Let’s face it though, their fajitas are hard to beat. We ate at the bar and shared chicken and steak fajitas for 2 and the portions were adequate, the meats were so tender and the accoutrements were plentiful. Edwin at the bar was also very attentive. I’ll come back for sure.

The service was good. I liked our waiter and he was attentive. This will likely be our last trip to Uncle Julio’s. This has been our mainstay for Mexican. My better half could eat good Mexican every night (so she claims). It has been a few months since we’ve been here. They have completely changed the menu, even the queso. We were all very disappointed. We read some of the recent reviews and learned there was an ownership change. One of our party found a hair in her sour cream. Things like that do occur. While this will likely be our last trip here it is NOT because of the hair but because of the menu change. We’ll be looking for another Mexican restaurant to be our mainstay.

We had a great experience at the Fairfax Uncle Julio’s thanks to Layla! She was incredibly kind, had the best smile, and was attentive without being overbearing. Everything we needed showed up right on time, the atmosphere was fun, and the food was absolutely superb. Will definitely be back!

William at the Fairfax Uncle Julio’s was fantastic! It was our first Taco Tuesday and his service was absolutely superb. He was perfect—so helpful walking us through the Taco Tuesday options and making great food suggestions. Everything was delicious and the experience couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend asking for William!

We’ve been eating at Uncle Julio’s a lot lately because we absolutely love their fresh tortillas (so good!) and the service is always great — but this visit was the best yet!
Melany was our server and she was absolutely wonderful. She has the best smile and is so genuinely sweet. She’s actually from the same background as my husband, so they were able to chat a bit, which made the experience even more fun and personal.
Her service was perfect — attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever feeling rushed. And as always, the food was delicious.
We’ll definitely be back!

Loveee Uncle Julio’s , first time at this location because I was coming from a basketball game. Very nice staff, I like how they have a taco Tuesday bar for a good price per person. I got the fajitas with shrimp, steak, and chicken, the sizzle makes me happy. Tasted even better. Definitely check them out

Last night my wife and I ate at Uncle Julio’s for the first time. What a great experience, thanks to the food and our service. It was refreshing to have a person who actually enjoyes their job to serve us. Thanks to Laylah we were have great dishes due to her recommendations! Definitely coming back to try the chocolate piñata and will definitely be requesting the same server!

We came to Uncle Julio’s for my young son’s birthday celebration. We had 10 people in our party and the food and service was fantastic. Our server, Layla, was kind, attentive, and efficient. Layla made us feel comfortable and made my son feel special on his birthday. I highly recommend this location and I make this recommendation in part because of the wonderful experience Layla gave us during our meal.

Everything was fantastic for our dinner last night. We made it during Tuesday happy hour and were able to get a great price on drinks and try the Taco Tuesday Taco bar. Both of the salsas that came with the complementary chips were really good! We were given a sample of the steak fajita which was also fantastic. Highly recommend going for happy hour on Tuesday!
