On a rainy Sunday morning, we parked under the old car hop roof and headed in. Wait staff were all very attentive. Prices were reasonable. Menu huge. Food good.

I can never say enough good about Uncle John’s. Their staff is so friendly and attentive. The food is great and not over priced like everywhere else these days.
French onion soup is one of my favorites and I grab it whenever I’m in the mood for it.
Everything is always cooked great. They just never disappoint.
Tonight I tried the fish fry for the first time.
For $15.99 we got 4 decent sized pieces of Cod , veggies, coleslaw, choice of soup which comes with a roll and crackers, and choice of potato. I got baked and it was cooked perfectly!!

Great family restaurant with excellent service and food!
Stopped in on our way home, very nice atmosphere. Wait staff sang happy birthday to a customer, could tell it’s a place with a lot of regulars. Very good and affordable food, wait staff was very attentive.

Nice, quaint smaller scale restaurant with plenty of parking. Including limited canopy parking for keeping your vehicle out of the rain or sun. Typically about 20 parking spots for that plus 10-15 more not under the canopy. There’s a 2 tier entrance leading to the main entrance door where you’ll enter to the small waiting area for seating. To your left there is a food bar where you can sit at (like they do at the old diners). To the right are tables a booths. The booths have windows to the outside parking lot and street view. The tables can fit up to 4 people but can be combined for bigger party groups. The booths hold 4-6 people depending on how big individuals are. The restrooms are located in the back left of the restaurant area and are decently clean. There is lots of natural light from the outside filling up the place. The servers are mostly women and each one is very pleasant and quick to serve. They serve all kinds of breakfast, lunch and dinner items located on their menus. They have daily specials and restaurant style pies to order. A wide variety but only what they have in stock at any given time, which is most, if not all of them that are displayed for ordering. They serve coffee and have great pancakes! I always go for breakfast but have been for lunch and dinner as well. All very tasty and not too long of a wait. I believe they serve shakes and ice cream as well. I know they take cash and debit cards and I don’t believe they require you to tip them but it is generally appreciated and an accepted practice in that line of business. The crowd verity is typically an older crowd but many family’s with kids and all ages can go there and enjoy a meal. There’s seating for up to around 40 or 50 people max there but it don’t take that many to fill up the place. Reasoning for the 3 star atmosphere being due to the tight feeling that can be invoked when the place is packed and a nod to them possibly considering a move to updating the atmosphere to something more contemporary, though what they have currently is nothing bad. It’s even a little homey feeling but the bathrooms (though clean!) are small and outdated. You can typically be seated right away but if you come during a Saturday or Sunday morning/early afternoon time, you may possibly have to wait a little but that’s not always the case. Again, you typically get seated within minutes, if not right away.

Me and my husband came here for breakfast after running a few errands in the area. We loved the restaurant and the food, his skillet was on the crispier side and my hollandaise sauce could’ve used more flavor but the carrot cake pancakes were a 10/10, we’ve already planned to comeback when we find ourselves in town again.

It was what we were looking for, a Super traditional and very packed Friday night fish fry. It’s not fancy and it was pretty loud. The peak dining hour is 6 PM and you’ll have to wait a few minutes but they turned the tables over quickly. Walleye, Cod, and Salmon are the hot items but the whole menu is available so everyone should be able to get something they want. Limited desserts but they looked pretty good.
