I’m in my late 30s out for dinner with my adult nephew who isn’t 21 yet, stopped here after golf for a quick bite but were denied a menu… we were asked for our IDs which we showed then were denied service. Bartender assumed I lied about him being my nephew and told us we should’ve “worked on our script”. All I asked for was a menu, we hadn’t even sat down. Neither of us had any intentioned of ordering alcohol. Never in my life have I experienced this and I’ll never be back. That was ridiculous.
Then for the owner to respond to one of our review (Facebook) & continue with accusations after having talked to the employee, WOW. Of course she’s going to defend her actions.
I know for a fact you allow families with underage members to dine here so I’m baffled we were turned away from doing the same.

Felt absolutely attacked the second my uncle (40) and I (20) stepped into the “bar” and asked for a food menu. Upon the request, the staff asked for our IDs and then asked if he was my guardian. My uncle replied with “we are just ordering food but he’s my nephew.” She then replied with “should have worked on your script.” and told us we couldn’t even be in the facility to eat food. We left and found a place with better hospitality nearby called The Horse and Plow. The problem wasn’t with the law of not being able to be on the premise, it was the absolute disrespect and belittling comments that were said. If it is the law, fine. Then be polite and have proper hospitality 🙂

Katie & Amanda know how important good bartenders are, as without them, you shouldn’t be in the bar business. Katie, Amanda, Sean(at night) are quick witted & just plain fun to be around. Not only do they have great personalities, they are fun and fast on their feet. Rarely do you have to wait for your next beverage. Stylish decor, kept spotless. Diverse clientele, in my opinion, by far, the best drinking establishment in Sheboygan Falls.
