Not sure how well Uncle Dave’s is known outside of local circles but, IMHO, it beats anything for miles around! Happy, smiling people, fast service, very ample portions, and GOOD food…my favorite BBQ place, bar none!…. update 8/16…got 2 pounds pulled pork to go. Every tiny bite was good edible meat..none of the fat or gristle so common from most places. Uncle Dave’s is tops!!!

I wanted to like this but it just didn’t happen. They were out of most everything on the menu. Was told they would have more later when someone got back from the store. The pulled pork was very fatty. On top of that, there was no flavor at all….it appears it was baked (or microwaved). I would understand no sauce on it if there was some kind of smoked flavor, but there was nothing…just plain pork. The people were nice, but it just wasn’t working the day we were there.

I don’t know what happened to Uncle Daves. Ate there today and it was not good at all. Vinegar slaw was completely dry and the potatoe salad was different and disgusting. I’ve been up there twice to order half of chicken in a week and they were out. It must be under new management because the Uncle Daves I used to eat was awesome but not now. Not worth the money! They have lost another customer. Not trying to be ugly just very disappointed!

First time going there, went mid-week mid-afternoon. Prices are reasonable, choices are good. Got the pork with fries and baked beans. Everything was great. Very relaxed, quiet at that time of day anyways. Wife got a cheeseburger with fries. Burger was good, cooked right, juicy. Fries were skinny crinkle cut style but fried perfect. 3 types of sauce on the tables. All were good. Rib sauce was the best.
