Newly opened. We shared a great big portion of fried okra. It was good.
I had the brisket with onions & gravy, it was very tender and great taste overall.
Husband had the bbq chicken sandwich with coleslaw and he was delighted with it too.
Both meals were decent sized servings.
Service was impecable and friendly.
Happy tummies . Will definitely come again.

The fried whiting is amazing, cooked perfectly, and soul food style. The baked mac and cheese and string beans was delicious.
The restaurant is new and they are off to a good start. I cant wait to try their other entrees.
Update: there is some consistency issues. Second time here and the mac and cheese was cooked differently, and the fish was slightly over seasoned and mushy. Dropped 1 star.

Ok. Uncle Bob’s is a little misleading. It’s definitely not soul food. Can’t speak to the smoked or bbq anything as I got the fried pork chop with sweet corns and candied yams. I think they are trying to be a soul food place but there are some random menu items that have nothing to do with bbq or soul food so there’s that. The sweet corns as the menu says was doctored canned corn but it was sweet as the bane suggests. The candied yams were not soul food as one would think. They were ok but not what you’d get from a true soul food spot. The fired pork chop was nicely cooked. Very well seasoned which was nice but I found it overly salty. If they dial that down a bit it would be a damn good chop. That was all I had today. Didn’t get a drink. The space looks nice and clean on the inside. It was not crowded when I went in around 1pm but folks were starting to come in as I was leaving. There appeared to be only two folks working. Perhaps Bob and his wife? I don’t want to assume. They were very nice. I just think if you’re going to throw soul food out there it better be true soul food imo. I wish them well, I may go back and try something else at some point since I work down the street.

Searching for meatloaf, I found this place. I was the only customer, which was a shame because the food was tasty and a decent price. My meal was meatloaf with two side items and a roll. They had table service and did their best to give me great service. Soul food and BBQ from an Indian cook. Ok, there was a spice in the meatloaf I couldn’t quite identify, but it was good.

Today, we ventured into this establishment for the first time with high hopes of a good soul food dinner. While the young waitress provided excellent service, the quality of the food fell short of our expectations. Upon arrival, there were only two patrons, but by 6 pm on a Saturday, we grew to seven. The wait for our meals was lengthy, clocking in at 38 minutes. Considering how empty the place was, I think that a nearly 40 minute wait is disturbing. we finally received our order; the bread on my smoked brisket sandwich lacked the usual buttery toastiness. Literally just dry bread. Although the brisket itself had a decent flavor, it arrived barely warm. The macaroni and cheese, supposedly a signature dish, arrived nearly cold with the cheese visibly separating. I suspect that even prison food would be better than that. The smothered pork chops fared slightly better, but still left much to be desired. I would have made a better dish at home. It’s evident that the kitchen staff lacked attention to detail and care for the customer experience. While the establishment concept had promise, the current standards in the kitchen fall very short, and serving such subpar food is nothing short of embarrassing. I feel disrespected to be honest. We left and I thought that we would have been so much happier with Chipotle and I would have spent half the amount.

This is the worst BBQ place I’ve ever been to.
I ordered their brisket, green beans, and mac and cheese to go.
Food took 30 minutes to get made and they were not busy.
The brisket was so stringy that I had trouble cutting it and eating it was like chewing on rubber. The green beans tasted like they came from a can and the mac and cheese like they came from a cup.
Do not come here.

The food is true southern style. I tried the St. Louis slow cooked ribs because if the ribs are good, everything is good. It was the most tender succulent ribs I have ever tasted. And, the Bob’s sauce is so tasty I added a lot. Baked beans are good and so is the coleslaw. I can’t wait to try other menu items. Make sure you come here hungry as I had to take half of my food home. But, that means good leftovers. Also, I was greeted with such friendliness it made the whole experience that much better. I would definitely recommend Uncle Bob’s Smoke Shack any time.

My first time at Uncle Bob’s Smoke Shack & Bar was outstanding. I was looking for a location to relax and eat some comfort food, and I Googled what was closest. Well, Uncle Bob’s Smoke Shack & Bar came up on my radar, and I decided to give it a try. I was in the mood for BBQ, but after reviewing the menu, I went with an old, reliable meal, which was chicken tenders and fries. I am very glad I did because the food was great, the fried tenders were juicy and not dry. The fries were as expected cooked to a level of crispyness anyone would expect. It took a bit to get the food, but I sat down and observed how spacious the place was and the unique backdrop of the signage on the wall. The hostess was very accommodating and was attentive throughout the experience. The owner even came out to get me to ask how the meal was. I was very satisfied with the experience except for one customer who complained about the butter being hard. Well, butter can’t be left out in the open as he expected because it would be a food safety issue nowadays, but I think he did that to avoid a tip for such good service. I recommend this place to get great food and great service. What do you day give it a shot.
