Crispy crunchy chicken!! Think if KFC was real food. This would be it. The location is not exactly cozy and warm, but the employees are nice and welcoming, and the food was what we expected.

Why do they serve undercooked food? Everytime I go to this CFC I’m begging for a better experience, but when I’m served chicken wings they are undercooked! I even asked them to make the wings well done to ensure this wouldn’t happen. I’m so disappointed. I already have stomach pain..

A bit of an unclean place but BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER. So crispy and not at all too greasy like other fried chicken chain restaurants. They have found the secret recipe. The spinach roll did not suit my taste. The rice was spicy-I liked it. My husband not so much as he does not like spicy. Mashed potatoes came topped with a gravy. Your standard instant mashed potatoes. I did like them very much. I gave an overall five stars because that’s how good the fried chicken is. We got the 15 piece assorted bucket.

Went in for our first gyro in the Portland area and were not disappointed!! The beef gyro was amazing in both the salad and the sandwich and the French fries and sauce were seasoned incredibly well. We will absolutely be going back soon!

The attached picture shows you how dry their potatoes are. You can literally hold them, in your hand, like it’s a piece of bread.
Adding to this, it was cold when I received it, which it was only a 2 min drive from my home. Way below the safe temperature to eat food.
The macaroni and cheese was gritty, and also very cold.
And finally, I ordered a cheesesteak sub, and there was almost no cheese on it, and barely any steak.

Came here late night after a rave and dang this place really hit the spot. You can get a big beef patty for cheap and good. Star really nice even late at night

Went to this place late at night on a colleague’s recommendation and tried chicken kabob over rice. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the modest price, the quality of kabob was no less that that of many high end Mediterranean restaurants in NYC. The rice were mildly spiced and not drenched in oil (what you get at most low priced places) and kabobs came spiced with herbs, were flavorful and yet not too spicy or hot. Even my 2 years old enjoyed eating them. Went back again next day, got some more chicken with kabobs and also got beef samosas (beef patties), cake pudding and their chai. Every thing was great again. The tea was out of this world, typical Indian/Pakistani chai which is slow-brewed and comes premixed with milk and sugar.
The people who run this place are very attentive, pleasant and try to connect with you at a personal level. I will definitely go there again whenever will travel to Portland Maine.
The food is halal, freshly cooked min front of you and has authentic middle eastern flavor. I am not a big fan of fried items but one must try this place’s middle eastern menu and tea/chi.

The Order was for one 5 piece Fried Chicken Meal with fries, one order of onion rings, and 1 puece of “Tres Leches” Cake

The food is overpriced and the Service is near non existent.
Portion size is miniscule. My Cigarrette is longer than my chicken thigh or my chick leg… for size range

Onion rings were excellent with a slightly sweet corn meal batter, improving the meal, unexpectedly, given the quality of their chicken.

Fries were not included, though charged for through the meal special.

The “Tres Leches” cake is delicious and unexpected, a light in the disappointing experience I had

Until this takeout improves portion size and can be consistent with their pricing, missing items, and improve customer service, I whole heartedly recommend staying away from this place…

Total charged my bill, $25-,

The only chain fried chicken you’re going to find near downtown Portland.

All in all, Crown is pretty decent. It obviously has fried chicken as a staple, but they also make kabobs, burgers, and even fish sandwiches.

The interior is usually pretty clean, but the inside is drafty and chilly. The waits are sometimes long, but the staff is friendly. The best thing about Crown is the price.

I usually get their #2 special – which is two pieces of fried chicken and a side of fries or rice (their rice is amazing, seriously) and a can of soda – all for about $8. It’s a pretty good deal.

If you want to splurge, go to Figgy’s – but you can’t beat Crown’s price, at least not unless you go outside downtown Portland for fried chicken.
