Save yourself the trip here. Service is slow and terrible, no personality and seeing as though we went when only one other table was here dining we should have been checked on for coffee and drink refills. Waits til the whole tables food comes out to tell me that they don’t have the soup I ordered (fine). My sons chicken was so burnt he ended up sharing my daughters pancakes instead. Over priced and mediocre at best.

It was 09:30 on a Friday morning. I was 1 of 3 people having Breakfast. Then I was the only one in the place. Very strange. Food was good place looked nice but there was no one there.

I went here to grab a bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll sandwich.
The sandwich was pretty good. The staff was nice.
The only down side is the outrageously expensive prices. Over $8.00 (with tax) for a sandwich? I have had better for less at many places throughout the state. For that kind of money, I have had omelettes…
What makes it worse is, I looked at a menu online showing the price at $5.50, which is more in line with normalcy.
Given the prices, I can see why they were not very busy…

Do not go here! Waitress was awful, so rude. We went on Saturday morning at 9:30 last week only one other table. That should have been our first clue. We ordered coffee the taste was so nasty and cold. When we asked the extremely rude waitress for a cup from a different pot she argued with us that it would be the same temperature. I asked politely for a new cup to try. This cup was hot but the worst tasting coffee I’ve ever had . I have Celiac and went here just for the gluten free options they advertise. Waitress was not knowledgeable at all. So I opted just to order eggs , and home fries and the hollandaise which she checked and it was gluten free. When my breakfast came out the hollandaise was ice cold in a cup on the side. When I told her she argued again and said no it’s not. What do
You want them to boil it. I told her to touch it and she would see it was ice cold. I then decided you know what I don’t want it heated please take my breakfast back . Especially seeing as if you have a food allergy the charge you a fee to cook your food even if your not ordering anything special like a gluten free item for an up charge. It’s a flat fee if you have an allergy you have to pay .I have an autoimmune disease that is protected by the ADA because celiac cannot eat gluten at all. I will be reporting this company to the department of public health is this legal to take advantage of someone with a disability. They need to be looked into . How dare someone be treated differently because they have a disability !!! Shame on you who ever the owner is

Prices are absolutely ridiculous for what you get on your plate. I went to get a quick bite for lunch and sat at the counter and watched the only guy in the kitchen make and touch everyone’s food with no gloves. He kept wiping his nose and then touching the food.

I got a large grinder and added a bunch of veggies and stuff that most places don’t charge extra. All I got extra was onions and mayo and they added $3.50 for each extra item. A grinder that was priced on the menu for $12.50 went up to $19.75!!!

There was no one in there and the only waitress didn’t smile, and had to ask the same questions about my order a few times. I don’t think she enjoys working there. It’s a shame because it’s a very nice space for such a dull restaurant. Do better Uncasville Diner.

I figured I’ll try a new place .. but wow the waitress this morning was as bad as u can get! She just of rolled her eyes at me 4 times atleast! She was terrible! One of the worst. The atmosphere was very empty i see why.. Nice place had potential but the way its ran they are not good. Never felt so unwanted at a place ever. The food was ok not presentable. But I can’t express this morning how terrible the service was .
I should of stuck with Diana’s diner . Smh

Food was good, service was quick and the atmosphere was nice and quiet so I enjoyed myself. The guy who cooked the food was super friendly and went above and beyond.

Ordered scrambled eggs home fries rye toast coffee. Prices on menu 9.99 I was charged 11.99. When I asked the waitress what up she pointed out on the printed menu which was on the counter that prices are subject to change at any time. Plus there was a .99 cent upcharge for rye toast. Every breakfast restaurant that I have ever been to any type of bread was included. First time and last.

The place had a clean interior and the staff was nice but the food was probably the worst dinner food I’ve had in CT. For the prices the food was very small in portion. The steakbomb was all bread, no meat, and taste like peppers that were on it. The Reuben was small and I was charged .99 cents for the bread they are supposed to come on which is Rye bread. Honestly, I would not recommend coming here.

I’ve driven by this place many times and I’ve lived minutes away for years but hesitated to stop in because of the reviews. I finally decided to just try it. It has a cozy and interesting feel when you walk in so that’s very nice. It was very empty when I went. There was one other table with customers. That isn’t a problem for me at all. The waitress was nice, but service was a bit slow. The food took forever to come out. The other table was eating already so it’s not like there was a huge rush of orders hitting the kitchen at the same time.

The food was expensive, especially for what it was and the quality of it. I got the California Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was a horrid texture. It was thick in some places yet watery and thin in others. It was lumpy (see photo) and the only thing I could taste was sour. I couldn’t pick out any other flavors. The home fries were room temperature at best, dry, and bland. Nothing tasted like anything! I have no issue with food that is lacking in salt or even seasoning. The ingredients didn’t even taste like they were supposed to. The tomato tasted like a watery, mushy disk. The avocado was the best part because it was exactly as you’d expect an avocado to be. The coffee was not memorable or worth getting.

It’s really a shame since I love so many of the food establishments in the area. I was hoping this one would be a slam dunk to me as well. $20+ before tip for a common breakfast dish that was hardly edible and coffee is terrible. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere for better, cheaper food.
