You HAVE to stop here!!!!
Our b&b host recommended we drive a little farther to go here for their brisket and ribs. She was spot on right!!
The food was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, with great flavors, fall off the bone ribs. So so good!
The service was just as amazing too, we rolled in 30 minutes before closing which I hate doing, but we had just arrived in town. The staff did not care a bit and was fun and helped me celebrate my husband’s bday on top of it all with a brownie, candle, and bday song. And the owner is a legit singer!
And if that wasn’t enough he wrapped us up a sneak peak menu item we took with us. It was wrapped in bacon is all I’m saying!! Yummmmm.
Easy parking and they even have a drive-thru!

Pulled pork sandwich was bustin’ at the seams! No skimping here. Good flavor and served clean (sauce on the side). IMO that’s how it should be done. Very solid. Didn’t rate atmosphere because I was in and out quickly…….another positive for this place.

I drove an hour to try this place because of the good reviews. Ordered a half pound of brisket to try. Got the Mac n cheese for my kid. I’m not even giving it to her. The worst Mac I’ve ever had lol We’re not even finishing this meal. I’m just disappointed. For the price it should be way better. Fuel City in raphine has better brisket and Mac n cheese than this lol this is just overpriced normal bbq. I didn’t even get a bun or anything. 2 stars. Won’t be back

This was delicious! Thank you for answering questions! The hamburger patty is real!!! It is NOT one of those “preformed, patty thingy”!!!!!!!! I got the mashed potato & gravy burger….wow! I used a fork and knife, I wouldn’t attempt to pick it up because I wanted to taste every bite!!!!! The fries were good also, but even better with heinz 57 sauce instead of ketchup.

Pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were huge and delicious. The only reason for the 4 star rating for food was there wasn’t much cheddar cheese on the brisket sandwich, hush puppies were small and only 5 of them, potato salad was kind of plain. But all the food was very good. Fries were fantastic and needed nothing. Everyone was very friendly, both staff and other customers. Well worth the drive from our home in Natural Bridge. Definitely will go back when the opportunity arises.

The ribs are to die for, always my go to! Hush puppies are good, onion rings are always nice & crisp, Mac & cheese is tasty!
It’s a smaller restaurant so seating options are sort of limited, but it is spacious enough for a family. The service is always friendly & done in a timely manner.

I’d guess youre not vacuum sealing leftover product and reheating the bags in hot water or just over cooking the flavour out.

It has been a long time since I had real BBQ, and not just real BBQ but the best of all that I have tried. Who would have thought, only 27 minutes from Staunton. The taste and quality were superb and the owners dedication to making sure that quality supersedes anything else is hard to find these days. I so much appreciated their respect in honoring the East Carolina BBQ tradition. I highly recommend it!
