I just came back from traveling in New York, and besides the tourist spots, the most unforgettable thing was the ramen at Umi Ramen. I found this little 4.8-star shop on Google—it wasn’t in a tourist area, but in a small town, so I wanted to try the authentic local flavor.
This tiny shop gave me a huge surprise!
My daughter loved the yuzu tebasaki the most; it was sweet and sour and absolutely delicious.
My favorite was the spicy miso ramen. I told the server I couldn’t handle too much spice, so they made it mild for me.
The ramen broth was rich and deeply flavorful, the chashu pork was perfectly roasted, and the noodles had just the right amount of chew.
Now I’m back in Florida, and I often wish there was an amazing ramen shop like this in my city!

Ordered on GrubHub, because it’s hard to find any donburi around me. What do I find staring at me when I open the bag? A western salad, potatoes, and barely any sauce ruining an otherwise pleasant meal. Ordered the gyudon, and there was no salad in the picture. The beef was alright, but a donburi is meant to be something you can shovel down your throat while it renews your palette, and makes you want to finish the bowl in record time (maybe even make you want seconds). There should’ve been scallion greens! More sauce! GIVE ME A KITCHEN AND A BUDGET, AND I CAN MAKE A RESTAURANT REVOLVING AROUND SOLELY GYUDON THAT BLOWS EVERYTHING IN THE SUBURBAN TRI-STATE AREA OUT OF THE WATER!! Pic to show the sheer amount of salad I picked out, and how the miso soup was Kikkoman packet quality at best. And for the restaurant claiming that “ThE pIcS yOu ShOwEd ArEn’T oUr FoOD!” Then why did I receive it in a bag with a menu and a sealed utensil package, covered with your branding?? If you’re going to leave an admonishing response, at least bother to READ.

My first order at this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The waitstaff were patient and friendly, and I was able to choose my favorite toppings. The food arrived faster than we expected, and the taste was absolutely delicious. It was the best Lamian Noodles I’ve ever had, and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely come back next time I pass by! After finishing my meal, I couldn’t resist ordering takeout to bring back to my kids! The packaging of the bag was a pleasant surprise. It was a thermal bag, showing the restaurant’s attention to detail. It was also very cute, and in such cold weather, the food was still hot when it arrived at home.

Came here with friends and shared a few dishes. The Tatsuta age chicken was really good — crispy outside, tender inside, and not greasy at all. Portions were solid and food came out pretty fast. Ramen was comforting and filling. Good spot for a casual meal. Would come back.

Really enjoyed the ramen. Flavorful broth and great noodle texture. The Yuzu Tebasaki honestly surprised me. It’s crispy, juicy, and the light citrus flavor made them super addictive. We finished them way too fast. Everything tasted fresh. Would come back.

I stopped by for a quick lunch and tried the Negi ramen. The broth and flavors were satisfying, and I really enjoyed the ramen overall. The pork, however, wasn’t as tender as I’d hoped—just a bit on the dry side. That said, the attentive service made the experience enjoyable, so I’m happy to give this place 4 stars.

Super good, I tried the chicken wings and they’re best wings I’ve eaten so far. The milk tea is better than a usual tea and the ramen is the best thing you could ever taste. The sesame chicken was very different but good in that way the spicy sauce is super spicy but good, great for the ramen. Pina colada and strawberry shakes are super good I recommend coming to this place once in a while and I would definitely eat it again

Honestly, I’m speechless on how good these plates were, I got the spicy miso, and my sister got the chicken teriyaki, it was one of the best, Japanese dishes, I’ve try in a long time, you guys gotta check them out won’t disappoint.

The pork buns are really good soft buns and very flavorful without feeling greasy.
The Yuzu Tebasaki wings are my favorite with light yuzu aroma, crispy skin, and juicy meat. I’ve ordered them a few times and they’ve always been great！Highly recommend！！！

Wow, my wife and I stopped in after looking for a good ramen place in Rockland county for a while – Umi Ramen did not disappoint! So good! Both the spicy miso ramen and the tan tan ramen were 10/10 delicious, and my wife says very legit. Will certainly be coming back.
